Skip the booths! Eat at the bar! Great service!
Excellent service and delicious food just wish we hadn’t done Mrs Wilkes earlier and were more hungry.
great food had to eat here again before I returned home and not to say the best margaritas
We visited the Cotton Exchange twice! Our 1st visit was dinner and really enjoyed the sea food. Serving sizes were large and the food was amazing. We returned a 2nd time for lunch. Burgers and Fried Green Tomato BLT were wonderful. The Burgers were HUGE. Would highly recommend this for your next trip
We arrived in Savannah and headed straight to River Street. The Cotton Exchange Tavern was a short 30-minute wait. Our table had grilled salmon, a club sandwich, peel and eat shrimp, and fried shrimp. Our food was out quick, hot, and delicious. Service was great and it was busy. Would recommend.
My daughter found this place and we really enjoyed the food. Ordered the Georgia peach sangria. It was very good. Shrimp was very fresh tasting.
Quick day trip tp Savannah and we were only able to select one restaurant for a meal. After checking TripAdvisor, we chose The Cotton Exchange. Our selection was solidified when we asked a couple leaving the restaurant their thoughts. After hearing their glowing review, our choice was certain. We went in. We were promptly seated. Wait service was exceptional. Friendly, outgoing, providing suggestions to our food preferences. Ordered baked stuffed flounder (special) and the sea scallops. Both cooked correctly. Everything tasted delicious. The only slight drawback was the saltiness of the food. A little much but it didn't hinder the overall enjoyment of the meal.
Great location down by the river. My husband loved the shrimp and grits. The rest of the food was average. My son had a side of Mac and cheese which literally looked like Kraft Mac and cheese with melted cheddar on top. My daughter liked he shrimp salad sandwich and I enjoyed the side of potato salad, but I definitely had to add salt to it. My fried green tomato BLT was not anything to write home about. Our server was friendly. All in all, I think I’d try another option when in town again.
We stopped by in the early afternoon to make a reservation for dinner but they did not take them. However, upon arriving for dinner we were immediately seated inside. Much of the original structure still stands as it looks over the river. They do offer a kids menu. Food was very good, beer was cold, and the service was great.
This restaurant right on River Street was the perfect place to catch a quick lunch and enjoy the beautiful scenery. The food was wonderful and I can't wait to go back again.
