This was my first time at the Sandfly location and it is just like downtown, only larger. A great deal of choices for tequila and mezcal drinks. It was great to start off with the guacamole made right at the table. Both of our dishes were very fresh and tasty.
My craving for Mexican food was answered at the Outside Tables with quick & courteous service. Fresh chips & tasty but not too hot salsa was SO good. THEY didn’t offer to refill individual (like) small salsa serving & I didn’t ask. Lots of menu options that included meat, fish, veggie, or combos. Liked ordering sides, so I can really pick what I want to eat. Choice of Green or red sauce is a choice for tasty enchiladas. Love their Mexican rice. Hubby enjoyed a meat combo with cheese sauce. Missed the lunch menu prices by about 30 minutes but bill was still reasonable.Experienced waiter who was glad to please. Happy to have this Sandfly location with easy parking.
Hands down, the best Mexican restaurant I’ve been to in Savannah. The food was the most authentic to the real thing that I’ve loved for years after living in Texas and NM. Management was on top of it despite how crazy busy they were, they were fast, efficient and the food and service was fantastic. Can’t wait to return. This is definitely my new favorite place.
Food, drinks and service were excellent. The prickly pear margarita is very sweet so I recommend salt on the rim with it. We had the burritos and chimichangas and everything was delicious. The cheese dip is really good too. Their chips are my favorite!
I've been here several times with the wife &/or family. Every single time it's been a great dining experience. Fast, clean, friendly, & knowledgeable service with low costly great food! I've tried several of their dishes, different styles & tastes, but, all were excellent! Hard to beat this place for the price, either
At Tequila's Town, I went in for a late lunch. I had a couple of $5 bud light bottles, cheese dip, and a small guacamole dip to get started. And then for my meal I had the California Burrito. Grilled chicken or asada steak, beans, rice, lettuce, sour cream, pico d' Gallo and monterrey jack cheese. I got mine with asada steak, no lettuce, black beans, add tomatoes. I don't come here for the service, or $5 bud lights. I come here for the wonderfully seasoned asada steak! It is delicious!! Sometimes the chop/cut on the steak it isn't great, thus hard to chew. If I could, I'd give them 3.5 stars.
I'm not usually one to give a low review for bad experiences. They have to be significantly awful for me to take the time.We ordered lunch from here yesterday. Not as good as this place where we moved from but we thought not bad.Well I got food poisoning. Spent about 7 hours last night vomiting, diarrhea, Sweats, chills, the whole nine and seriously considered going to the ER. Never in my 31 years has food made me this sick, not even poorly cooked shellfish.I don't know what bacterial agent made it to my digestive system but I will now be spending the weekend pumping lytes and eating the BRAT diet while my husband does all the errands and chores. Never again.
Good vibes. Great waiter. Clean. I enjoyed my meal and I will go back again.
Since I had to go to the laundromat, we also went to Tequila's for a late lunch. We last went there when they opened and it was okay. Would not go back!!!! It's large and quite dark. I was facing the back wall that was stacked with cardboard boxes of paper cups. The worst Mexican food I've ever had!!! At first I thought it empty because of the time of day, but i think it's the atmosphere and definitely the food & awful Margarita! I don't want to give it any star rating, but then I could not post,
We went with a large group of friends and they were absolutely packed however they found us a table rather quickly service was a bit slow but they were super slammed! I got arros tejanos and it was delicious! A little pricey for Mexican food but they did a great job
