Asked what kind of fish they had and they said swai fish. I googled it and said it was from Vietnam???? Really???
A group of 4 needed a quick place for lunch. You order at the counter, then they bring the good to you. Each of the four of us had a different po boy sandwich and everyone enjoyed their food. There is nothing fancy here, just solid food. And, for anyone interested, this place is dog friendly.
Awesome place! Definitely worth coming back to visit savannah for this place in particular. Everything sounded great so we had a mix of items. These folks have mastered the balance of flavors. Easily see how they are rated so highly with over so many reviews.The cone had a great balance of salty, crunchy, with sweet and a hint of spice to it with almost a smokey flavor when you get to the slaw.The shrimp tacos were the same ingredients minus the cone so it was still delicious.The jalapeño cheddar crab bites. I don't even know how to describe them but they are a MUST HAVE.The peel and eat shrimp had a great spice/salty balance. Minorly over cooked so they were a bit difficult to get out of the shell but definitely not complaining.The boil bag. This was an above average bag. This was also a bit over done but it's still not worth complaining about. The flavor was very well balanced between Limon and spice. The flavor of each item was there but not over powering the seafood. And can we talk about the butter for a minute?! I'm not sure what they do to it but oh man, is it delicious.I would definitely come back and order the same foods one on one or together again. When we go back tomorrow I am going to skip the bag and try some new items..... I think it says something when you skip a boil bag personally. The other items definitely stole the show
I had been working for several months with a lady for a delivery order for 14 people. Me changing my mind several times. She was always very understanding. Night of delivery I called to check on delivery as it was 10 minutes late. They had no record of my order. Panic set in. The young man that I worked with could not have been any nicer!!! He quickly resolved the issue and I had my order 30 minutes later. This place went way above and beyond for me and my group. The food was excellent I would give them 5 stars for food and 20 stars for customer service.
Fantastic seafood for a casual, quick bite! Low country boil and friend shrimp were a hit…make sure you get a basket of hush puppies!
We needed a quick meal before going on a nighttime walking tour. They found us a table right away and put a rush on our order. It was perfect. Shrimp Tacos with fabulous coleslaw. The people were more than accommodating, and the food was first rate. We would definitely recommend the Seafood Shack.
We were trying to find a place to eat on a Saturday night that wasn’t packed. We saw the good reviews for this place and decided to check it out. The line moved quickly despite it being somewhat busy. All the staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful. My husband got the low country shrimp boil and it was amazing. I got the fried calamari with fries and a cup of clam chowder. Everything but the calamari was super fresh and the temperature was HOT (which we love!). The calamari wasn’t as hot as everything else, but it was by no means cold. We sat outside, which was nice. The pricing was good considering it’s seafood. Drinks were good, too. Overall, 10/10!
I have been to multiple Cajun seafood boil restaurants and this place is good but not the best. The food wasn't too salty but it didn't have enough flavor to enjoy. Insurance for a nice but they're not big enough compared to others.Staff was very nice and friendly.Their fried fish taco was great. I wish they put more sauce on them though.Overall I will visit again!
