We were shocked the food wasn’t better. The ribs were good(not great). Pulled pork was inedible. Baked beans weren’t good either. My kid liked her chicken tenders. We won’t be going back.
They were out of a few different meats so that was kinda a bummer but we got some pulled chicken sandwiches with a side of sweet potato fries, and some regular fries. Food came out quick. You also order prior to sitting down as well. Staff was slightly a little standoffish. Overall good food.
My family and I loved Sandfly, it was delicious. The pulled chicken sandwich was tender, fried okra was very good, and great Brunswick stew. It is the real deal if you want BBQ. My wife loved the Texas Toast. I see in some other reviews people have had trouble getting their orders; they were out of a few things when we were there, like brisket, but everything we got was pretty good. Not sure what their supply issues are, but either way food was great and staff were nice to us. I’d recommend it.
If there's a line out the door and a full parking lot for a take out BBQ place you know we've a winner. This was no exception. Wonderful brisket and sausage. Baked beans were great.
Very disappointed with your restaurant!! We were in Savannah visiting my son and his family. We ordered take out from your restaurant on our last night in town. My son and grandson went to pick up and were there at the scheduled time. They were told it wasn't ready but that it was being worked on. After a 40 minute wait, my son went back to the counter to ask about our order again. He was told the restaurant was out of pork!! Really?? Out of Pork?? A 40 minute wait and no one bothered to tell him he wasn't going to get our order? How long would they have sat there if he hadn't gone back to the counter to inquire about our food??
do not call in an order - I waited over 1 hour for 1 pound of BBQ - I called in 3 hours before - such MEAN PEOPLE ? server's hands in her hair the whole hour - smoky & dirty - GROSS ! NEVER AGAIN !!!
Yesterday at 2:00 I placed a pickup phone order for 1 pound of BBQ at 7:00 . I arrived just before 7:00 and waited for over 1 hour to get my order. They were busy with mostly pick up orders that were placed at the counter since the phone rang & rang without being answered. 6 people came in and placed orders at the counter after my arrival and left before me. My real take away is that these are MEAN PEOPLE. How DAMN hard was it to just put 1 pound in a box for a person who called in an order. I paid when I arrived and tipped generously. The place was excessively smoky and dine in would have been very uncomfortable. The staff was not shorthanded. The product quality was only average. I am a lifetime local and want everyone to beware of similar disappointing service. I WILL NEVER RETURN !!!
Omg, some of the best BBQ I’ve had in a while. The chicken was still so moist and tasty, brisket had so much flavor, and the pulled pork is amazing!
Stopped in for dinner tonight. Both my husband and I had the two meet combo platter. He loved the baked beans and the brisket was so good. It was all really good. They do have a small selection of beer so we had a Good City Lager with our dinner. Staff was polite and patient since we didn’t know how to order or what the sides were. We will definitely be back.
Very good BBQ that folks actually leave the city of Savannah for, and I can see why. All meats were delicious. Memphis style BBQ sauce was good enough to sell on its own. The only downside was the sides. I never found one side that I could take more than one bite of.
