Great, friendly staff and delicious treats. I got a free sample of praline and tried it for the first time. Loved it! Definitely stop on if you are on River St.
We never miss stopping at River Street Sweets on the riverfront. I stock up on pralines and freeze them to last until my next visit to Savannah. We also receive their catalog and order from them at the holidays. I highly recommend ordering the kringle! We have also visited for Easter and they created a custom basket for our son.
BIG scoops. Little pricey for ice cream but they do give you large scoops. I got a single of the banana pudding gelato. It was quite good. Very fresh, not overly sweet . Had mine in a bowl instead of a cone so i didn't slob it all over myself. Lots of flavors to choose from. Decent ice cream place with benches out front.
Worth a visit for just a sample of the Savannah sweet stuff like freshly made Pralines or Taffy. If you want to indulge in more there's delicious ice creams and loose candies for about $16 per pound. Hard to be on the Riverfront and not stop in for at least a free smell.. but don't have a weak sweet tooth.
Love the sample coming in. More sweets than you can imagine. Chocolate covered everything. Pecans in all kinds of flavors and the Turtles were amazing.
Watch them make Taffy!!! Yum .All sorts of sweet treats, free sample on arrival. Wow what a selection! Kid friendly! Just had to get a sample of Taffy!!! Each batch makes 700 treats!
A great variety of old school candy ! A lot of choices ! Made it hard, so we bought a lot of different stuff.
I live local and get mine in a cup to go spend at least $20 each time we go. For some reason they refuse to put it in a cup with a lid so I can drive home. Not everyone is from out of town! I came in and complained to someone working during the day she was super sweet and said she would make sure it wasn’t an issue. My son went tonight and again refused to give him a cup with a lid he walked home 1/2 mile in the heat and it melted! I called the lady had a major attitude about the cups cost money so you would rather lose local business than pay for a cup. I’m done we were spending at least $20 a week no more! Teach your supervisors to apologize not make excuses her attitude every time we come in there is why we won’t be back!
Samples of fresh pralines were handed out. Delicious! Bought Fresh Pralines in glass case next to cash register (tip: don’t buy prepackaged, because it was made & packaged off-site) ; also enjoyed Choc. Bear Claws and a variety of Taffy.
So much to choose from, sugar overload! We bought taffy for ourselves as well as for our friends back at home. The chocolate all looked amazing, and it was fun to watch them create.
