Great food! Great service!
Wonderful food and fun atmosphere - will be back!
Great food, super friendly service.
Friday night and the place was hopping! Almost no empty tables. Lots of "to-go" action at the bar and a jazz trio on the stage. Our delicious dinner was 2 garden salads (sizeable), Milanesa Pollo with plantains which I had to help my wife finish and Ropa Vieja with tostones, ending off splitting a Flan de Coco. Bill was $59.92 before tip. Our server Paola made sure nothing my wife ate had bell pepper in it (allergy). The restaurant is off the beaten track but very convenient to The Residence Inn. Sorry we only discovered this on our final night in Savannah.
We went to Rancho Alegre for dinner. I had the seafood (shrimp, mussels, clams, squid, grouper) in creole sauce with rice, beans, and tostones. It was delicious and enough for two to share.
I visited this restaurant last year and was disappointed by the food quality. I decided to give it another shot today. To sum up my experience, it was noticeably better this time. My son ordered the chuletas con maduros, while I ordered the Cuban sandwich with fries. The sandwich was flavorful, and the chuletas were delicious! The waiter was attentive, and everyone on the staff was pleasant. I'm sure I'll come back here. My fries were slightly undercooked, so I only gave it four stars... However, as previously stated, that sandwich was so delicious that you didn't care about the fries ????
Visiting Savannaah, it was the first restaurant we came across, by reference, and we LOVED it!The mojito was huge,( not sweet!) And I got the Chicken Milanesa, with maduros, and Ahhhhhh was so darn DELICIOUS!!Great live MUSIC!Jazzy! Nice environment!!You will not regret coming to this great restaurant!!!
We were excited because we love Cuban food. The good: very nice casual place, pleasant service and a live band playing sort-of jazz. The not so good: the food was average at best. Hard overcooked yuca fries, Cuban sandwich too hammy and not well-pressed. The flounder was the best part of the meal but the rice was just sad as it had no flavor with frozen peas, carrots and corn. The black beans were good. Maduros were fine. The iced tea was weak and had a funny taste.
We are Cuban food afficianados, and we're delighted to find this Cuban restaurant in Savannah! The wait staff wear shirts with the slogan 'Best Cuban North of Miami & Tampa.' We ordered Pollo a la Juliana and Bistec Palomilla empanizado. Cooked to perfection and accompanied with Cuban rice, black beans & sweet plantains. Excellent! Full bar with Cuban specialties, as well as Cuban coffee drinks. Was surprised and pleased to find Peruvian Pisco Sours as well as Juan Collins made with Piscom Live jazz music on Friday and Saturday nights, reservations required. We made reservations for next Friday before leaving the restaurant.
Great ambience, live music, awesome food. And servers were the best, so friendly and interact a Cuban Family.
