PS Tavern is usually my go to spot whenever my fiance is in the area visiting. As a traveling blogger and public service worker from New York she always enjoy the atmosphere, amazing food, and tasty secret sauce wings. However, our experience last night with service and our waiter was horrific. You'll be surprised how much racism, profiling, and discrimination still exist. Last night our server was Anthia S. according to our receipt. She wore all black with red lipstick and a ponytail. We waited 30 minutes to be served and when she finally decided to serve us, her attitude was unwelcoming and undesirable. My fiance and I already knew what we wanted to order, our usual...meat filled pizza and special sauce wings is what we requested. She said we don't have meat lover pizza, you mean supreme and we don't have special sauce you mean secret sauce. We then requested no onion or mushrooms as my fiance is allergic. Then requested blue cheese and ranch. We also requested well cooked wings. We watched all those whom ordered after us be serviced first and when our food did come, it was everything that we did not ask for. Mushrooms, onions, unwell cooked wings. We sat nearly an hour just observing to see when she would come back and check on us. She smiled and served others while sitting around at the bar. Everyone who showed with us (caucasian, men, larger groups)was waited on, served, and gone.We requested a take out tray and our bill to go. It took forever. When our bill came we waited another 15 minutes just to pay so we decided to get up and cover the bill ourselves at the bar by another waiter. Next time, we'll just order to go.
Wow if you are not from this area people do not like you!! We’re here on our honeymoon and walked in and stood in line at the door, the bouncer came up and asked what we were doing and we said we aren’t from here and we’re checking out the area. What a weird way to ask for ids. Does not make you feel welcome. We immediately left without getting a drink. Went back the next night to get some pizza as it seems to be one of the only late night places to get food. Bartender was so rude and completely unhelpful. I ordered a pickle shot since you have a sign out front about it, never got what I ordered. My husband asked the bartender for a beer recommendation as we are not local she literally couldn’t name one beer just kept telling us to pick one. It was so awkward. I never had a bartender that couldn’t recommend anything. I thought this town would be used to tourists but they are so rude and unwelcoming. Makes for an unfortunate trip.
What they are lacking in a bit of structure in the wait staff. The bartenders were awesome but with only one person able to make drinks things start to get behind. The chicken wings were nicely cooked with lots of options for spicy sauces. Overall I really enjoyed the food.
Great pork belly tacos. Accommodating staff. Worth the stop if hopping around and looking for a bite.
We had a pulled pork slider with dilled onions and it was actually pretty amazing. They offered dill pickle vodka for those who drink (along with other drink options)
Waitress was great she did everything she can to keep us informed on our order and make our visit great. The cooks, management and staff the are responsible for getting orders out in a timely manner “Suck” the pull pork sandwich was sweet as hell and it took about an hour to cook a sandwich and pizza. I will never go back or recommend PS Tavern in Savannah Ga to anyone. I would have gave “PS Tavern a quarter star but the site won’t let me. See photo
Watched the game with the kids. Pizzas were great. Tots with chili were good but a little dry. Service was very friendly and attentive. Reasonable prices.
Went here and sat at bar for Clemson game, bartender was great. Best buffalo chicken pizza we’ve ever had. Good vibes
Great food and service. I highly recommend the brisket sliders!
Just finished dinner here based on reviews. My husband had the brisket sliders. I ordered 2 slices of pizza with sausage and banana pepper toppings. Everything was delicious! (I gave away one of my slices to a neighboring table as they were so big, I could only eat one.) Service was friendly and prompt. It is one of those hole-in-the-wall spots with great grub!
