The ribs were pretty good. They were cooked and seasoned properly. The sauce was a pleasant surprise. The color led me to believe it wasn't going to taste very well, but it did. Same with the potato salad. It didn't look good, but it did taste good. The fried whiting fish was pretty good. So were the collard greens.
Amazing the chicken and ribs and potato salad was amazing and the string beans omg. You won’t be disappointed. I would have posted a picture but I ate it too fast, I ate all my potato salad before I got home?
The establishment was awesome. It gave you that home, neighborhood (wherever you're from) feeling. That mom & pops spot soldiers long for as for the most part we've become transient.And the staff is out of the world. There is no loss of "southern hospitality" here.
Can’t beat the price and the orders come out quick. The pulled pork had an interesting almost shrimp taste
I was told Tricks had the best ribs. We stood in line over there for an hour before someone mentioned Munchies. The lady in front of us at Tricks said she was leaving to get Munchies… we gave her (total stranger) our number and said call us if the line was moving fast. She called and I left the line, while my husband stayed in line at Tricks. I rode around the corner to Munchies and placed my order. Within 5 min, I had my ribs and sides. Rode back to Tricks… my husband still
I drove an hour all the way to Savannah for ribs and chicken for a party of 8, rice which only was enough for one person, greens for one person, they forgot my greens so they gave me potato salad which was enough for one person for $60.54, the food was cold and when I asked why it wasn’t hot she said I don’t know why, it should be but if I’m asking it wasn’t!!! I had to travel and hour away and go to my home stick the food in the oven and then take it to my office! Such an inconvenience truly and for the distance and amount! I should just be able to take the food and know it’s hot! I won’t drive that far for this company ever again ?

I've never had a bad meal from this midtown favorite. It's a classic and the price is right. Excellent BBQ, friendly staff. You can't go wrong if you have a hankering for some smoked ribs or chicken. Stop on in and say hello.
First time here and food was excellent. Can definitely recommend the Pulled pork, baked beans and sweet tea.
