I moved to Sandfly in December and I've been trying out the food places around here....finally decided to try this place. This will be my last time. I ordered the Teriyaki Chicken and the Deep Fried Roll.The Teriyaki Chicken.......dry...very very dry. Barely any sauce. The rice was ok...however I asked if I could get shrimp friend rice and I was told they only had fried rice and steamed rice. Never been to an asian restaurant before that didn't serve shrimp fried rice. The veggies - they didn't look like they were giving me an invitation to eat them so I politely decided to not bother them.The Deep Fried Roll was somewhat better...but very little flavor and wasn't worth giving the review a second star.
I truly am not sure what the basis is for the previous reviews, but I can tell you from my experience the baseline for evaluation is low. This is by far one of the most sub mediocre places I've eaten at.I ordered the sweet and sour pork stir fry ($8.95). The chunks of pork where heavily breaded with a super soggy gummy covering. The stir fry 'vegetables' consisted of Onions, and Green Pepper. That's it.The sweet and sour sauce tasted like someone dumped a bunch of orange jelly (and not the good kind) all over the dish.I know there are not many options for restaurants in this part of Savannah, but that does not justify the 4.5 stars 6 people have given them. I'm going to assume have or all of the reviews were family members.
Worst Orange Chicken I've ever had! The Orange Chicken from the frozen section at the grocery store was leagues better than this. Its like the cook has given up. The rice was burnt there were black pieces in my food. The chicken was mushy. Won't be coming back sorry. If I could give it a zero I would.
Best local asian food in town! Great variety of foods. Bulgogi, orange chicken, teriyaki chicken, and sushi are prepared fresh in house.
I absolutely love this place! The person who left the bad review obviously had their own opinions, but I’ve gone here for about 8 years. They make their own sauces, their timing is always excellent, staff is friendly and inviting, the food I’ve never had a complaint it’s truly amazing. They have great lunch specials as well! 100% recommend!
We eat here at minimum twice a week, usually more often! Food is the best in Savannah and the owners are the best people around! We love this place!

Hands down best sushi I've had in Savannah. It tastes so fresh. The crab ragoons are also some of the best I've ever had. Everything I've tasted here is wonderful. This place is a diamond in the rough!
Best sweet and sour chicken in Savannah. Wonderful staff and consistently excellent food.
Great food and alternative to all the usual places in Sandfly!
