The service was slow m, the food was very salty and after complaining the recovery was not favorable
Wonderful dinner ! Hailey was a great server! The trout was amazing!
This is a must go restaurant in Savannah. Make your reservation so that you can be spoiled. Caleb took the time to describe our choices to us. They were chefâs take on our favorites. We met the wine curator, Jamie, who is so passionate about his craft. I will always ask what is your favorite. If the staff is eating the food they can describe it in detail to me.
Honestly some of the best food we have had in a while. The trout and grouper were amazing and prepared well. Our waiter was very accommodating and extremely knowledgeable about the menu. He took care to make sure my fish was thoroughly cooked as I am pregnant and also offered us an alternative cheese board selection with pasteurized options. They offered yummy cocktails and mock tails as well.
Husk was recommended by a friend - we booked a table for 3 at 8pm. We got a nice table in a nice bar area and had a nice cocktail. The menu is short - which is great but as our server took our orders she told us they were out of the fish dish - 2 of us planned to order that. I went for a chicken dish instead but cannot recall the disks name. In any case it was a breast of chicken I guess grilled sliced in half with a tasteless sauce and a mushroom side - I am not a big chicken fan but the fish was out - I can safely say the worst chicken dish I ever have been served. My friend who wanted Fisk also had a bland Cesar salad and my wife had a pasta salad dish again I cannot recall the name and it was fine. But overall I have to say shocking overly priced for the poor presentation and bland taste of all of the dishes. To top it all at about 9.15pn I was finishing my tasteless chicken and our server went to take me plate while I was still eating - I just stopped her in time. She hovered as I finished and grabbed my plate as I ate my last bite - I guess anxious to leave at the end of her shift. Overall poor quality food, poor service in a nice building that is overpriced.
Our experience here was excellent. The food was great. Our server was attentive and accommodating, he was very knowledgeable about the menu - he made sure I only got pasteurized cheese on the cheese board I ordered as I am pregnant and he ensured my fish was thoroughly cooked. We ordered the cheese board with baguette (pasteurized variation), grouper and trout. All of it was great. The cocktails and mock tails were also delicious.
A limited, but extremely well put together menu. Lots of local influence and ingredients. Fantastic service. Beautiful old building with a contemporary twist inside. Highly recommended.
Truly professional service (attentive, not hovering; entirely knowledgeable about all offerings; kind, calm and happy, while not trying to be the entertainment). The Sommelier (Jeremy) was exceptionally knowledgeable and nuanced in this age when everyone with a weekend training course wants to call themselves a (fake) Som. The kitchen was perfectly paced. All dishes were inventive, capably presented, and real (true to the locally sourced ingredients). We love Husk (both Charleston and Savannah locations).
Excellent select menu, great wine and drink list, excellent service and staff very knowledgeable about the menu and flavors. One of the best meals Iâve had out in a long time!
Husk is one of those rare places where you get the best ingredients and the best cooking techniques to get the at their most elevated state. I find myself chewing much longer with a dreamy look on my face. Service is impeccable. Oh, and get all the sides, all of them.
