We stopped in with friends. I was impressed that you can create your own ravioli, you choose your own filling and sauce. My meal was incredible. It was actually nice to order a meal and not receive a bucket of pasta. Meals don't come with salad, but there is a small portion of bread for each patron. The restaurant does not offer any sort of alcohol, however the food more than makes up for it. While we were there with a large party, the owners wife was very pleasant and personable and never once did we feel rushed. They have a retail option where you can purchase their pasta and sauces as well. Do yourself a favor and eat here.
First time visit and it was wonderful. Had the bolanasee great flavor, the ravioli with saffron cream sauce excellent then ended with pistachio gelato all tasty will be back very soon
We were here for late lunch on Thursday. Cute little grocery shop with tables. Not your typical restaurant. Very European really. They make fresh pasta which is superb. We also got a few grocery items. Friendly servers. It’s a bit pricey but that’s understandable in todays situation. We just wished the portions were a bit bigger or if salads were included with the meals. When in Savannah it’s a must have spot to check out.
Oh what a good surprise. If you want real Italian fresh pastas, don't look further. High quality pasta, Al dente with delicious sauce. The four cheese one is to die for. We also had some crème brûlée. And everything was perfect and prices very fair. We came right before 7pm and they served us very kindly. I just want to come back and taste all the different dishes.
We came here after reading all of the positive reviews expecting to be blown away. Unfortunately, we were underwhelmed. The noodles tasted fresh and were cooked perfefty al dente, but the sauces were a bit of a let down. The deserts were also disappointing–crème brûlée without the brûlée, and ricotta cheesecake without the texture of ricotta. Service was friendly but slow. Our waiter kept us waiting for 20 minutes as he conversed with other customers (which perhaps lends some authenticity to the restaurant). Overall, not terrible but not spectacular.
Not a fancy place but amazing food and service. All the pastas are homemade and the cuisine is authentic to the Liguria region. We reserved the Thursday only Osteria Dinner. It was 4 courses. 1st course was Caprese, shrimp fritter, and melon with prosciutto. Not pick one but all 3! Our favorite was the ultra sweet, ripe melon. Then came the pasta course of Tortellini with Bolognese sauce, Fettucini Alfredo, and the Linguini with creamy pesto. Again, not pick one but all 3 served family style. The Linguini was especially tasty! The 3rd course was select an entree, chicken marsala, poached salmon, or pork cutlet piccata which we had and loved. Finally, the dessert where we could select among 10 Italian classics. We of course went for the Tiramisu which did not disappoint. All of these were lovingly and attentively served by Mama! Molto Bene!!!
Good spot for lunch near our hotel. Good lasagna and the Italian sandwich was delish on fresh Italian bread.
Such great flavored Italian food. Every bite is full of beautiful rich ingredients. Every entree I've had so far has been fantastic. The atmosphere is cute and lots of quality extras to add to your meal or for take home.
I've walked past this place 50 times going to the coffee shop next door, and one day my husband got tired of waiting for me to get my coffee and decided to check it out. Now we go every time we're in Savannah! There is no comparison between the pasta served here and pasta served at a chain restaurant or even most "nice" Italian restaurants. You can taste the freshness in the pasta and sauce. The staff is passionate about the food and I am a person who is indecisive and always asking for recommendations. They have not steered me wrong yet, but I don't think you can go wrong here. The vodka sauce and the salsa di noche are both incredible. I can't say enough about this little hole in the wall spot. Truly a memorable meal!
We were only in Savannah for less than 48 hours, but ended up eating here twice. It was so good that we came back a second time. The pasta and pasta sauce are homemade. We loved everything we got and both times we left nothing on our plates between the 4 of us. My favorite was the spinach ravioli with homemade amatriciana sauce. The desserts were out of this world. The lemoncello gelato was my kids’ favorite but mine was the pure chocolate soufflé - I can’t remember the exact name of the dessert but just ask Lisa one of the owners … it is her favorite as well. The chef came out and talked with us for awhile and shared the story of him coming here from northwestern Italy. It is a family business - his wife was our server the first day and their son was our server the next. They were so hospitable and the food was delicious! I highly recommend a stop there if you are in town.
