It was ok. My scrambled well eggs were definitely not cooked enough. It took forever to get a coffee refill. The grits were actually not the bad kind, so that was good. The bacon was cooked to just crispy, and that was good. The biscuit and gravy was good. I saw people eating some kind of gooey cinnamon roll thing that looked good, I should've had that too. So, it wasn't perfect for sure, but it wasn't bad exactly, and what you like will depend on your preference.
Our AirBNB was basically on the same lot as Clary's so trying it for breakfast was a no-brainer. All I wanted was an All-American breakfast (two eggs, bacon, hashbrowns/grits, and toast) and this place definitely delivered. I admittedly love to have some American cheese on my scrambled eggs - but boy, I have never had them like this. Whoever made my scrambled cheesy eggs... bless you! My boyfriend ordered the "Strawberries & Cream French Toast" and wow, it was such a great decision on his part! It was mildly sweet (but just enough) and a great size for both of us to split. I highly, highly recommend trying it! I will say - the actual establishment could use a bit of an update but it doesn't take away from the overall experience.
I can understand completely why this place is so popular. I wish we had eaten breakfast here every day that we were in Savannah. We had great sized portions and the price was great. Food was prepared quickly and ready when my husband was there to pick up the order. We had enough to eat more as a mid-morning snack. The stuffed French toast was too AMAZING!!! When we are back in Savannah this will be our daily go-to for breakfast.
Great breakfast spot. We were greeted & sat quickly. The malted waffle was delicious & perfectly made. The corned beef hash was my dish & I loved it. It was great quality (no extra fatty chunks) flavorful & crispy on the outside.Definitely a place worth visiting.
Stopped by for lunch after driving by establishment on a tour trolley earlier in day. Arrived around 1115 am and seated promptly. Amazed how quickly place filled up while we were there. Nostalgic theme took me back in time. Hustling place and staff was on their game completely tending tables. Very organized system for processing folks in and out of restaurant. I ordered their Rueben sandwich and was more than satisfied with its size, taste & price. All food was hot when served. I highly recommend this place if in area and in need of a stealthy breakfast or luncheon meal.
The food is always great! The service outstanding! We had the gravy and biscuits and the Salmon Eggs Benedict. Both were delicious. The next trip we had pancakes qnd corned beef hash. So good!
Authentic diner in Historic district. We had breakfast a few times. Great selection, reasonable prices with super friendly staff. Loved the cornbeef hash, and biscuits were fresh and warm. Will come back if ever in Savannah again
There are a lot of places in Savannah to go and this is a great choice. Corned beef eggs Benedict was great and so was the coffee. It was quick and a lot of other great looking choices to eat.
We came here on the recommendation of a friend expecting to be “Wow-ed”. Not. Bottomline, my wife and I had good, but unexceptional, omelets for breakfast. My Greek omelet was full of fresh spinach leaves and virtually no feta cheese. The fresh fruit cup was the highlight of the meal. Service was friendly. A nice breakfast but nothing exceptional. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come back.
Tasty and awesome place for a full and hearty breakfast as well as something simple!! I love a good breakfast place and have, what I feel like, are high standards for what is a good breakfast place; and this place is definitely good. The pancakes are delicious with several varieties to choose from. A personal favorite are their eggs benedict. The Hollandaise Sauce was perfect along with the eggs. Not to drag on and describe each item, suffice it to say that every item we ordered was amazing. Quick service and fair pricing. Highly recommend and sure you will not be dissatisfied. Located near many downtown historic places to see.
