Our first experience was definitely better than our most recent. I would have given our first visit, which was about a year ago, 4.5-5 stars. Perhaps we chose better courses. Our cheese plates were very good both times. This time, we did not care for the foie gras, which was seared. Our neighbors escargot was burnt. The onion soup was good, but not particularly special. The frisée lettuce was not of the highest quality, and the poached egg white was watery inside, so slightly undercooked. The catch of the day was as expected. Seating is very very tight. The service was lovely, however. Perhaps the regular chef was not in the night we went.
This place is a gem in Savannah! SO quirky and artistic. It's like the French circus was in town, never left and opened a restaurant with a few vampires. I love interesting and eclectic spots and this one is beautiful! The food and service were also top notch.
