Wow the chocolates are divine!! So precious and delightful. A true gem for Savanna Georgia. So sorry for anyone who had a bed experience with staff. The lady that serviced me said she was recently hired and she was impeccable. You should try it out and if you have already and had a bad experience, please forgive and try again. I am willing to travel over 100 miles again just to experience Chocolat by Adam Turoni. ??
So I have tried some of the finest chocolates in the US and Europe. At almost 3 dollars a chocolate is similar to French chocolatiers in Manhattan. Sadly it tastes like a 1 dollars chocolate. The ingredients sound amazing and picking out the chocolates out of the old cabinets was unique but alas the chocolates didn’t meet the mark. After trying a couple I had no desire to have more. Ironically my wife came home with chocolate from Frankfurt as I came home with these chocolates and these chocolates were soundly defeated.If you love chocolate you may still enjoyComing here but keep your expectations low.
I was a witness to an ADA violation on April 10 at around 4:30pm that the owner needs to address. A young blond woman with a golden retriever service dog was told that she couldn't bring her dog into your establishment. The woman who told her was wearing a black knee length skirt and a polka dotted blazer. The dog had a vest on that clearly identified it as being a service dog. I will be filling out a formal complaint with the ADA as I have family members who are disabled and have been discriminated in the past. I hope the owner takes this seriously and trains his staff better.
The female owner was caught on camera openly discriminating against a disabled person by not allowing them to enter the shop with their service dog. She was incredibly rude shouting and yelling and told the handler to get out of the doorway. However I guarantee you if the handler was in a wheelchair or visibly disabled, this wouldn’t have been the case. Not all disabilities are visible, and this was an act of discrimination. This owner should be ashamed of herself and really needs to be educated on ADA laws rather than remain ignorant on the rights of those who are disabled.
The owner discriminates against service animals and is non ADA compliant. She denied entry to a young girl with cardiac issues and her trained service dog during business hours for everyone to see on 4/10/22 . Not only did she deny her entry but She spoke down to her and told her to stop obstructing her doorway as the girl was trying to explain that her dog was a cardiac service dog as he was clearly wearing a vest that indicated this as well. This broke my heart to see. This business does not deserve your patronage.
I won't support a business that discriminates against customers with disabilities that require service animals. The owner should take time to educate their employees on the Americans with Disabilities Act and teach them that what they did today was illegal. Not to mention deleting the comments on their Instagram page from those who call them out for their behavior looks guilty to me! Shameful. Own up to it, apologize and DO BETTER!!
This establishment was discriminatory towards a woman and her SERVICE ANIMAL. No establishment like this deserves business. The horrible owner shamed the woman and her service dog. I hope legal action is taken to make sure this establishment is ADA compliant, or shut down. 0/10 would recommend. The picture of the horrible woman is attached. Stay clear of her and her nasty business.
This is a very unique chocolate shop. This is high end and sold by the piece. We bought several pieces and they were delicious!! Stop in and buy yourself a few treats.
I will never go back. Short version.I Wes the only customer when i went in.The sales lady would not even be bothered to look up from her phone nor be bothered with the 3 questions I asked without being rude and condescending. I was unsure how to buy chocolates with possible covid proceedures and there where no signs. After the third question and third insult from the sales woman I told her how rude she was and that I changed my mind and did not need any of those chocolates and is left the store. I was very upset but tried not to let it ruin my vacation or my 10 year anniversary. I then sent the owners an email a few days later and heard nothing back.
Adam Turoni Chocolat scammed me and many others who mail-ordered over the holidays. They deserve negative stars for ripping people off.DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS COMPANY! The chocolates don't supercede the quality of other high-end chocolates I buy and I wish I'd never tested them out. They INTENTIONALLY shipped me an order of lower quality chocolates.I ordered the Avant Box. $195.00 + shipping. Total - $215.00. The website represents it as a box of 24 different truffles alongside other items. I never received a confirmation email. I called the shop to check on the order. They said they'd received 150 orders and couldn't look it up.I received the order. It didn't contain a box of 24 different beautiful truffles. It was a box of 6 different kinds, nothing as beautiful as the website represents. More than underwhelming. The most decorative was a white truffle with a red confectionary flower on top.I emailed Turoni to seek a resolution. No response. I called the store. The employee explained that the boxes were oversold and couldn't be fulfilled. They said the store typically carries 9-12 different flavours and styles to boot. He explained that due to overselling them, the boxes were filled with what remained.I asked to speak to somebody with the authority to resolve the issue in a satisfactory manner and was told that Alexandra, co-owner, was the only person who could do so. He took a message and said she'd return my call. Never happened. I called again and was told she is rarely in. I left another message. She refused to return my call.I emailed a total of 3 times and called 3 times. To this date, they have refused to respond. I have regularly shopped with Vosges and Teuscher. They have existed much longer and are reputable. Their chocolates are of the highest quality and have never disappointed. I will contine to use them and NEVER order from this scamming company again.To this date, the Turoni website still offers the Avant Box exactly as it was misrepresented to me. Considering that they oversold, I don't doubt that there are many more customers of the sentiment as me.
