This place was a great find. I was checking out a store across the street and got hungry so I looked into it.Nothing too fancy looking. The service and food was excellent and the portions were generous. I tip people well in places like this because they offer SO much for very little.I also think my waitress was very pregnant. I couldn't believe she was working. Everyone should tip her well. ?
Farm raised pre packaged seafood you could buy at the grocery store. We ate it, but it wasn't good. Server stayed gone somewhere in the back for most of the meal so no drink refills. There are way better places to spend your money in Savannah.
Service was good from start to finish. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our waitress was very nice. The salmon was cooked nicely ? and my friend loved his entire meal. We enjoyed our food and the awesome sweet tea.
My family and friends had dinner here at the Waters Ave location Saturday April 9, 2022 following my Aunt's funeral.The staff were excellent from the host to managers.Our server Lauryn was exceptional !We were taken care of and treated like family. The food was incredible and the atmosphere perfect.
Went with the family. Everyone enjoyed their food except me. I had the catfish and I was disappointed. The texture of the fish is not what I'm used to. I don't think it was catfish. I had to eat some of food from everyone else plate. The club sandwich, cheese burger, and fried chicken was good. Oh the chicken wings were good to but they aren't grade A wings.
The food was delicious. Hot, fresh, made to order, and the staff was so friendly. The only thing that was wrong was my milkshake. I order it online with my food and I ordered a raspberry milkshake but I got a plain milkshake. It was good but I would have still liked raspberry. I think it had something to do with the online order not showing what kind of milkshake is being ordered. But over all loved the food.
A Savannah favorite, and I am a regular!! Great BBQ, club sandwich and excellent curb side service! The last dining room experience left a lot to be desired. I will give it another chance, but the wait staff better be on their A game!! More reviews coming.
Now I remember why I quit eating here. Take out dinner of fried shrimp and French fries. Shrimp were greasy as were the fries. Fries were also cold and soggy. I won't ever go back.
I would like to say I’ve been coming to Carey Hilliards since me and my husband moved to Savannah 10+ years ago and I’ve had some bad experiences here before and stopped coming. However we decided to come back and give it a another try, with a few friends. Our server, Tiffany, was absolutely amazing! Even with a mask on I saw she greeted us with a smile. We ordered a large onion ring and was served it fresh and hot! My husband and I shared the captains platter and everything on it was delicious. I was a little uneasy going back but good food and wonderful customer service this go around I’ll be back. Thanks again, Tiffany!
Lunch with 3 lovely ladies, 2 cousins and sister. Our server was missing for a little while but did a nice job once we got started.Ladies ordered small fried oysters, deluxe clubs and I also had deluxe club sandwich. Mine was good, really injured the shave ham.
