This review is for their bagels as I haven’t had their pizza yet. A few days ago I finished a run at Forsyth Park and was starving. I literally just searched “bagel” and this place came up. We used to live nearby so I was intrigued when I realized I’ve never been to or heard of Big Bon Bodega. I got the lox on everything with kimchee cream cheese. Sounds crazy but it was good and I tore it up haha. I took my husband a few days later and got the same thing with the scallion/herb cream cheese and it was delicious. Hope to try the pizza the next time we visit Savannah.
I am not quick to leave negative reviews, but this place just sucks. Beautiful exterior but we waited an hour for a coffee and a buttered bagel. The bagel was ordered to be buttered but whoever made it but on some sort of jalapeño cream cheese, then realized it was the wrong order, partially scraped off the topping and then covered it in butter. Would it have been that much harder to use a new bagel?
The bagels are DELICIOUS and I love this spot! If I lived closer to this location, I would definitely be here daily for a coffee and bagel. The staff is always friendly and create a great atmosphere!Follow @southerngeorgiaeats on instagram for more good eats! ?
Big Bon Bodega was a great first stop of the day on our downtown Savannah tour! Delicious bagel sandwiches in a charming, fast casual dining atmosphere. Outside dining only, AFAIK - not a problem since the weather was beautiful. My only regret was that we came in too early to try the pizza. Hope to go back soon!
4 words..kimchi cream cheese, spoon? oh and the bagels are amazing?
If this were my business, I wouldn’t do delivery. The pizza arrived cold, soggy and flimsy. How do I get my money back? I would appreciate a response… that would let me know how serious BigBon is about their reputation as a legitimate pizzeria.SalBoston, Ma
What could be better than a fresh made wood fired bagel?! (Well…. Maybe their pizza, but I was there for breakfast!). Cool vibe, open kitchen where you can watch the wood fired oven and the staff work their magic. And the bagels are fantastic. I was fortunate to catch the special one day.. an herbs de Provence flavored gem. It’s not a regular on the menu, but it was probably the best bagel I’ve ever eaten. Bagel sandwiches are an awesome way to start your day!
Bagels made fresh daily! We went every morning of our stay in Savannah. Coffee, Thai tea, cold brew was all delicious! All the cream cheese flavors were delicious (especially scallion & herb). Salt & pepper bagel was amazing! And don’t forget to try their chocolate chips cookies (baked fresh daily as well)
Great customer service! Ordered two pizzas from here for the first time this evening and upon arriving to pick-up, they realized the requested toppings had accidentally been omitted from one of the pizzas. They immediately started a new one and gave me the one pizza as well as the other without toppings to keep. Everyone was extremely apologetic and accommodating and offered me some bagels while I was waiting on the new pizza.? 5 stars for turning what could have been a poor experience into an exceptional one! BTW, the Spicy Bee and Big Bon Special (both with and without extra toppings) were delicious!!
I ordered one of the pizzas on the menu for takeout. Very average. It could have been Domino's for all I knew. The order form also defaulted to tipping for takeout. Someone needs to tell them that COVID for restaurants is over with.
