The sweetest server, very attentive to our needs
Stopped in here for lunch before leaving Savannah. Great service from Madison behind the bar.. and while some eccentric man sat next to me and took over my lunch lol there was a group of 4 men that sat at the corner near me.. the man nearest me ???? never married, no kids… how did I not talk to you?!? Missed that hallmark moment ???
Great service and great food
Had lunch here today and the best description I could give the burgers is violently mediocre. The burger was over-cooked, and came with exactly 2 rings of onion, 3 really small pickles and tasted like a frozen Bubba burger, for a price of almost $17!! The fried pickles were the best thing my wife and I ate. The service was good, though when we told the server it was our first time here she told us nothing about the place. Music was good, place was clean. Wife and I have both worked in food service, and understand the challenges restaurants are having now with staff, etc. But when your basic burger starts at $14 and go up in price from there, at least get it right. I’ll save money and go to Five Guys or Culvers.
I visited the location on the south side this afternoon and ordered two Yuengling, which was shown on the menus for $4, but when the bill came, I was charged $5 per beer. I asked the waitress about it and she asked someone inside. She came back and told me that the price was going up but the restaurant just hasn’t received the new menus yet. At that point, I think it would have been responsible for the restaurant to honor the menu price, but that didn’t happen. I’m not going to lose sleep over $2, but pretty disappointed in how this unfolded. Had she told me upfront that the prices were wrong, it wouldn’t have been a big deal, but no consumer wants to feel like they’ve been taken advantage of.
We came here for dinner. Experience was overall good. Our server was friendly and helpful. The burgers were good but we were disappointed with the fries- they were overly salted and my plate had quite a few burnt ones. I wish they served steak fires instead of packaged frozen fries. We also had alligator fritters which was good. We sat outside, it was okay. Furniture is about outdated but overall I would recommend the restaurant.
We were seated quickly. They offer indoor and outdoor seating. They have quite a few options for draft beer. Servers were friendly and talkative. Food came out relatively quickly as well. They offer different meat options for burgers such as beef and bison. I got The Ft. Jackson burger with bison meat. Their fries could be cooked just a little longer though. Would definitely come back.
B&D was the first restaurant we visited when we first visited Savannah. When we moved here and found this one right around the corner, we were ecstatic. In the beginning, they were great. After the remodel, service, quality, and wait time became very poor. Lately, it had been good overall, but still some occasional flaws with service and quality.
I bought 2 orders which came to 50 bucks. One was a wagyu beef sliders and the other the Broughton Burger meal. The wagyu had a really weird taste and the fries on both meals were soggy( under cooked). I felt if I’m paying 50 bucks for 2 burger meals at least the fries can be crisp. I felt like I was eating at McD’s but paying 4 times as much. I would not recommend this place there are other better burger joints out there.
Great Hamburgers. Elijah is very nice
