Came into dine, no greeting from anyone and there was only 1 customer sitting for his order. I seen 3 people. 2 females, and 1 male (young, slim, black hair) and none smiled and nobody could be identified because they have no name tags like I see at many other location. I was just at one in Virginia Beach this weekend and the service was FAR superior to this one (in VirginiaBeach that is). They greet you smiling, they recommend things, and even asked if I had allergies ?. They then said would you like to dine in with us or on the patio. They also pointed out at the Virginia Beach location their health scores. I was so impressed. I have been to many around the US, Alpharetta GA, and they used to come to my job 3x a week. Always top tier service but not here!!!! I also showed my military ID and before I could say anything. The male at the counter (around 415p eastern time) said we don't do military!!!! I kindly said are you sure? He said yes. I said all the other locations do. I then asked if was it because it's not a corporate location and he said I don't know who owns us and said do you still want your order. I would of walked off but my guest I was treating on our lunch break was short for time. However this location is terrible compared to all the others I have dined at. Finally the employees should have asked the the lady that walked in the red dress on speakerphone cursing out someone for approximately 5mins on her phone (hey red dress thanks for sharing how much you hate your babies daddies!) Inside the lobby to leave. Why would you allow customers to have to listen to such foul language from her and the person she was talking to on the phone? Finally teach your employees to smile/greet customers, wear name tags, and most importantly know who you work for? Corporate or Franchise! And make recommend products, the app, etc to maximize profits! Maybe you won't have an empty tip jar then.
I ordered delivery from this Tropical Smoothie Cafe. I did not receive one of my smoothies. I called the store multiple times and no one answered. I had to get in contact with corporate to try to initiate a refund. It has been two weeks and I still have not received a refund for the smoothie I never received. I have even had to call corporate twice to check on the refund, but still nothing. Very disappointed since Tropical Smoothie is my go-to for a healthy lunch but I won't be ordering from them again.
Today I was not expecting to see what I saw and I don’t think they know that anybody saw it. I saw the Indian guy drop the container of fruit (strawberries) on the floor and they spilled out, he picked them up off the floor put them back in the container and still served them… Now I see why people are saying not to go to this location for anything!! Eat and drink at your own risk is all I can say!!!
I typically love this location. But the last few times I have come in the employee Khadejah will make eye contact with me and literally not speak. This time I made a comment “Well I guess I’ll never get a greeting when you’re here. Then continued to order. Normally I just ignore it, but yesterday while walking out I had to turn back around really quickly to grab napkins. I turn around to her making the ugliest nastiest face at me behind my back, I turned around so quick she barely had time to fix it and put a smile back on it. So I immediately asked for her name to complain because that is absolutely ridiculous (she acted as if she didn’t want to give it). The young lady with the Locs in her hair was lovely though. She got up from her break while eating to serve us because Khadejah just stared at us while cleaning the blenders. Khadejah needs to be replaced or retrained because I nor my company will patronize this business because of her.
I eat at Tropical Café all the time and have been to many location but this is far the worst location. Every time I come in, nobody greets you. Every time I order, in person or online, my order is incorrect. Once they gave me someone else's order, mind you I ordered in the store. They clearly are not listening or even looking at there customers faces. Another time I ordered a chicken caprese, sandwich, it was cold, loaded with mozzarella cheese, gross, had bacon on it( which does not come with this sandwich), the chicken was not cooked or warmed properly, still tasted frozen and there was absolutely no balsamic vinegar on it at all. They basically gave me flatbread with cold chicken, bacon pesto and cheese. I tried to call to get a refund, but no answer, they NEVER answer. I want to go back and get my money back but I will do one better and NEVER return to this location!!
Don’t order delivery from here. My order was supposed to be delivered an hr ago! No one has shown up and the restaurant is not answering the phone I’ve literally called EVERY MINUTE for the last hour! Contactless delivery was NOT selected so the person delivering the order should have ensured it was delivered to me. I work in an office building and my office is literally the easiest one to find. I can see the door from my desk. No one ever came in the building delivering food I even went to the building next to mine and no one has gone in there with the food either.
They are very nice and sweet people. I love their smoothies. Quick service. However, they are never open on time when I come directly at 7am and on Saturdays at 8am before I go to work at 7:30 and 8:30. I usually stay there until 7:10 or 8:10 and no one doesn’t show up. Other customers are sitting in their cars waiting as well. Maybe they should consider changing their opening times.
okay, you know what... this place has no business making smoothies that taste THIS good. Definitely my new smoothie place. The paradise point with fat free yogurt and ginger is to die for.
Generally good experience. I go very often and have only ever had 1 bad smoothie which I assume was made by a training employee.
I been coming here for a few year now, after my experience I had today this location, this will be my last time getting any thing here again. They mess up my order and they fail to (1) take responsibility that they mess up my order (2) They refused to correct the problem or refund me my money. Very rude manger and employees here and it very disappointing that they treat a loyal customer like this ?♂️?♂️?♂️
