Lovely deli! Love their story which is displayed on the walls. The service was excellent and the food was delicious. Great Kosher options and excellent bagel combinations. Really enjoyed our time here and will definitely comeBack. Highly recommend The General Muir. There are two locations as well!
We have a contender for the BEST burger in Georgia. If you remember how H&F used to be, this is even BETTER!!! Try it, you'll love it.And to continue the BEST of... The cinnamon roll tastes like the way my Grandma used to make them. It's really good. And if you like Cheesecake, Cheesecake Factory has nothing on the Cheesecake here.I'm pretty happy that we have this place in Sandy Springs now!!!
I love this place! My family eats here about once a week and the food is always amazing, especially the chicken club, but what keeps us coming back is the friendly service. We regularly have amazing servers like Paul, Joe, and Stewart. Everyone from the host to the managers are sincere and helpful. My kid made a huge mess the other day on accident and the manager Kristen helped me clean it up right away. They really go above and beyond here. The cinnamon rolls are good too!
Food is generally delicious! That said, they are only serving it on occasion. They say they are open - so we drive an hour to dine. We arrive at 3:05pm on Sunday afternoon (a time when we have eaten there before) to learn they now only serve scant prepackaged takeout from 3-5pm on weekends. No indication is given anywhere until speaking with staff in person that it is impossible to order even a pastrami sandwich on weekend afternoons. Very disappointing. Love the food but horrible customer experience.
The guy who took my to-go order was great and accommodating, but please note that you can’t order anything “off” menu at this location. For example, the chef had a meltdown that I asked for a bagel instead of the ciabatta the sandwich was served with. She served the bagel separately because she was so enraged with my order, and I heard every grievance she wanted to share, as did the rest of the staff and restaurant at the time.
Great food and service! Our server Fatima did a great job at making sure we were taken care of and the manager Kristen was very friendly. Make sure you try the smoked salmon bagel.
I was with my friend and we ordered coffee at front and the guy said we can sit at a table. The restaurant was empty and a woman went up to us and said we can’t sit here and then we were like “the waiter said we can” and she said it is our rush hour. We looked at the restaurant and there was only one customer sitting at a table. She proceeded to say we had to go, and said we can sit at the park in 30 degree weather….
Popped in for Saturday brunch. Sat at the bar. Had a delicious NY Deli style meal. Pastrami was excellent \\u0026 the eggs were perfectly cooked. Can't go wrong with the General Muir.
The matzah ball soup and the sandwiches were amazing, we can’t wait to try brunch here!
Quality is my first impression. Every item I have tried is made with the most quality ingredients you could expect. The tastes are refined and delicious. Add to this that portions are on the healthy side and you will walk away full and happy.\\n\\nI order corn chowder and a roast beef sandwich ?. Needless to say, I would have been satisfied with just the chowder. When my sandwich arrived, I was thinking how am I going to eat this. The matzo ball soup is great. Burgers ? are ridiculously good. Beers ? are nice and ice cold. Everything is delivered with care.\\n\\nThe one thing I want to go back for is breakfast. I can only imagine how unbelievable that must be.\\n\\nService can add or detract from a good dining experience. Our server was polite and on point with her service.\\n\\nThere is nothing I can say that isn't good about The General Muir. The place is comfortable, service great and the food wonderful. What more can you ask for?
