First: the food and service is excellent as always. Iâve never been disappointed by any dish my husband and I have had. We now live out of state but always come to il Giallo several times when we visit the Atlanta area. My warning is about the outside dining space. There are no fans based on the architecture so summer dining can be uncomfortable! I felt our experience last night was just too draining but we were with a couple who wanted to be outside which I understand for Covid reasons. BUT, the inside of the restaurant is so delightful! Outdoor dining would be perfect when itâs not hot outside. I canât praise the food and service enough!

Always liked this restaurant and think the owners are great. Hadnât been in months and service was terrible. Took 3 hours for dinner. We arrived on time for reservation hostess told us to sit and wait until people left. This took 20 minutes. Ordered bottle of wine that arrived after we finished eating appetizers. Water glasses empty by then. No explanation. No apology. Entree order not taken until 20 minutes after appetizers were finished. Bread arrived. Asked for vinegar and oil. This arrived 5 minutes later. Server was hardly seen. Never stopped by unless to ask for orders. Entrees dropped off without explanation or offer for Parmesan cheese or pepper, or anything else. Took a desert order and literally ran off before we could order coffee. Had to chase waiter down by kitchen. Overall an extremely poor experience.
The food is fantastic but the outdoor seating was a bit miserable. Much too hot with NO fans, some tables in the sun and uncomfortable chairs. We were sweating after a few minutes. The poor server had every table outside and everyone was seated at about the same time. She was great but clearly stressed and overworked. We had planned to order dessert but left to get it somewhere else. We will definitely dine here again but NEVER outside.
We love IlGiallo so much - my husband and I have been a ton of time and we have girls night there whenever we can - they have a great bar and great bartenders that have been there a long time - the owner is wonderful as well as the staff - and the food is impeccable - they make their own pasta as well as desserts - well everything - if you are in Atlanta - Sandy Springs you must try it - wonderful restaurant

il Giallo is our Italian spot when we're not in Italy. It makes no sense for us to look for Italian anyplace else in the state of Georgia.
Been going here for years and it never disappoints!
We have eaten at this restaurant many times before and always enjoyed it but we were disappointed this time. Our food tasted great but one of our dishes (eggplant parm) was lukewarm at best. Service was EXTREMELY slow, and we were seated at a table in the bar (despite having a reservation) where we had a constant parade of people going back and forth to the bathroom.
Went for daughterâs 25th birthday. Food and service were outstanding . Pam took care of our every request. Will definitely come back
