The salads were drenched in too much dressing. Chicagoâs used to offer a pretty good value proposition, but not so much anymore. For what we spent as a party of 4, there are higher quality restaurants around.
Food and service were excellent as usual!
Good food⦠prices have definitely gone up which I understand. Last 2 times we have been in Chicagos, itâs unruly hot and humid in the dining room. We asked the hostess stand to turn the air down a touch and they gave us some line about the manager being busyâ¦. With a $400 bill, they really shouldnât be telling us the manager is busy and my scotch shouldnât be sweating when it gets to the table. Iâll go back but probably not a frequently and probably not in the summer months.
The strip steak was very tasty. I ordered the Prime Rib which was tasteless and tough. After two tries, they took this off my bill. Even after making a reservation 5 days ahead were seated at the worst table in front of the kitchen. The booth seats had springs coming through that were uncomfortable to sit on. The mussels were delicious. It was our anniversary and I was very disappointed overall. Server (Sadie) was very nice.
Our waiter was great. My wedge salad poor/fair and had to order more dressing twice and there still wasn't enough. Reorder cups are smaller than they used to be. The meal seemed to be rushed. We were still eating our salads when the main course came out. Personally I don't feel the value was there.
The food & service was outstanding at Chicagoâs. The only negative is the noise volume..difficult to carry on a conversation at our table because of the volume of chatter in the restaurant and how sound travels there.
Traveling to Georgia and took my parents out to dinner. Luckily on a Saturday night we were able to get reservations at Chicago's in Roswell. A perfect choice. Everything was terrific! We were seated close to the front door so it was easier for my parents to make their way into the restaurant and our table. Our server "Chris" was great. Manager came by during our meal to make sure everything was right. My Mom chose the Surf & Turf, Dad the Sirloin and I had the filet. We paired our meals with a couple glasses of wine and topped everything off with dessert. A perfect dining experience. Thank you.
Thank you for the birthday cake for my 91 yr old father. He felt very special.
