My most recent trip to IHOP has left me absolutely perplexed. IHOP claims to be the international house of pancakes. This type of claim should be backed with top tier food as well as service. However, my visit to IHOP was disappointing to say the very least. Right from the moment I walked in, I knew this would not be a pleasant experience. Firstly, the server seemed surprised and utterly disappointed to see hungry customers. He was incredibly unfriendly and had a mean demeanor about him. When he finally sat us down, I ordered a chocolate milk which was my first mistake. The chocolate milk was absolutely horrendous. The chocolate to milk ratio was about 7:93, roughly. It was as if I were drinking milk with a dab of chocolate splashed in. I proceeded to order French toast with a side of bacon. The French toast was room temperature and did not have nearly enough butter to cover all the individual slices of toast. The bacon had clearly been microwaved and was cold to the touch. After I had got the food down, which was a struggle, our server did not rush to get us our bill. After a substantial amount of time the bill comes and leaves me absolutely hornswoggled. The total for cost for the meal was almost $23. This is absolutely befuddling. My side of bacon came with 4 pieces and they charged me $5. The bacon was dry, soggy, and cold and IHOP charged 5 whole dollars for it. The chocolate milk alone was $4. For bottom tier chocolate milk they charged $4. On top of this outrageous bill, the sever took nearly 15 minutes to pickup the check so I could finally leave. IHOP has absolutely swindled me. This is an absurdity that needs more awareness. We cannot allow IHOP to keep taking advantage of people who just want to eat some quality breakfast food. IHOP is an example of a big company that feels entitled to people’s money because of their past success. IHOPs rapid declination should be paid for by its loyal customers. With the lackluster service, outrageous prices, and sub par quality food, IHOP will never be seeing my money again. I hope more people can wake up and stand up against the abysmal swindlers at IHOP.
Service was great and the waitress was extremely friendly.Food came out on time and was prepared fine.The bathroom, however, is disgusting. It hasn't been deep cleaned in ages it seems.
The food is generally good. The late night staff seem3d somewhat bothered by our presence, even though they are open 24 hours. They weren't overtly unfriendly, but seemed a bit unwelcoming.
The food and service are always good at IHOP. When I got my bill I was shocked at how much it was. I understand that our world today is in turmoil but $2.99 for a cup of coffee! Ouch!!
Alot higher priced then I remember. Strawberry and creme crepes are completely different. Steak tips were amazing as always. Server was sweet. Bailey I think was her name.
Great and fast service even on a busy Sunday. Food came out hot and looking better than the pictures!
Normally the breakfast is pretty good but today 12/8/21 everything was so greasy it was almost uneatable. We started to send it back but Normally that makes the cook mad. So my wife and I choked it down and now regretting it. When I order extra crispy bacon and it comes out limp that's not crispy. Won't be back for awhile.

Whoever has taken over at IHOP in Rome has made dramatic improvements to the service and upkeep of this restaurant. The food was and is still very good. It's an excellent choice, especially for breakfast and late at night when there just aren't many places open.
After sitting for ten minutes we heard someone say they are out of burgers, ok we'll find another option, go to order I wanted the a la mode pancakes, out of those too, my husband wants the mummy burrito ok cool order placed she comes back to say they have no tortillas for the burrito and no turkey. Completely wasted our time left to go to another restaurant
