Friendly staff and amazing food! Everything was sooo good. We had the brisket, collards, mac n cheese, and smoked wings! Chef Steve also brought us some deviled eggs, pickled okra, and fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese !! We absolutely loved all the food and the inviting staff and atmosphere, not to mention, the plates are enough to feed two people for sure! Will definitely be returning! ?
The food was freshly prepared and the simply delicious! The staff is very friendly and courteous to all their customers. I had the smoke brisket plate with collard greens, baked beans, and cornbread. The portion size can really be shared if needed. There is good outdoor seating. This establishment is very nice and professionally operated. We will definitely be going back to try the other menu items!
Love this restaurant! Every time I buy a meal it’s always worth the visit. This time I bought a pulled pork and a rib meal. The meat is always tender and falling off the bone delicious!I also got the caramel cake, sweet potato pie, and a cobbler. All of these are worth a weekly visit. Fuel is a family favorite!
I will definitely be going back! Went there a few days ago with my cousin who was in town from Connecticut. Figured he would enjoy some Southern barbecue. We tried a fair number of items since my kiddos were with us, too. Burger looked good; my son demolished it along with the mac & cheese. My daughter greatly enjoyed her ribs and the sweet barbecue sauce. For me, I enjoyed a massive amount of brisket, which was good and moist. Tasted fantastic with the mustard barbecue sauce. And I destroyed the collards and potato salad. Cornbread was solid. Brunswick stew definitely stands out. I ordered a small, which was incredibly generous. It was my cousin’s first time enjoying Brunswick stew, and he will definitely come back for that.Definitely give this place a go! Rome could use more restaurants like this.
Loved the deviled eggs, the pulled pork sandwich was delicious and smokey and the fries were great too! Love the redone old building and the look! Didn't love the tea, but not a big deal. Super friendly and great customer service.
We have been there 2 times now. Each visit we ordered something different including the specials. Everyone in our family enjoyed what we had. We met the owner, Stephen. Super great guy and very humble. As for what we ordered, the brisket plate was enough for us to have on day two and was just as good. The pork sandwich was served on toasted white bread instead of a hamburger bun, which was a little different, but was great. The Brunswick stew was great too. It was more of stew where you could see all the vegetables and meat as opposed to a cream-style stew. The fried chicken sandwich was HUGE and tasty. The fries are fresh-cut and not frozen. Oh, and the desserts were great as well - caramel cake was a lot and the peach cobbler was maybe enough to share with someone… but then again, maybe not! :D
Very delicious and friendly. The only issue I had was handled. The deviled eggs are very good the chicken was good. All around a good eat. Will be back to try some other things.
Super nice people and amazing bbq. Unfortunately they ran out of ribs, but we tried their brisket and it was some of the best we've ever had. The Brunswick stew, Mac and cheese, corn bread and baked beans were also amazing. My husband and I will definitely be going back. Hoping to try the ribs next time. Going to try and get there earlier next time. ?
All the usual good meats you would expect for a BBQ place, all very good especially ribs. Homemade sides keeps me going back. The old building, now Red, total redone & done right.
The place itself is nice. But I didn't like the food so much. The mac and cheese is not good at all. Noodles seen overcooked. The greens where okay, and for the Pork sandwich I only got one slice of bread. so I wasn't able to make a real sandwich just a half of a sandwich. The prices were a bit HIGH especially for sides. You can definitely get more from MOE BBQs for cheaper and good.
