they serve frozen margaritas! so good. food was ok. i like shredded beef and they only had ground and they dont put cheese on the enchilada.
Amazing! Can't say enough about my dining experience today. KUDOS to Carlos, family, and staff. 40 years speaks volumes about the food, and the service. we ordered texas fajitas for one, quesadilla supreme. the portions were huge, temperature, seasonings, were on point. the server (did not get her name) she was perfect, coming by just at the right times too. we watched as Carlos made sure everything ran as a well oil machine. living out of town unfortunately we do not come this way often, but if you get a chance..... stop in and tell him i said hello. best margaritas too

El Zarape is a staple of Rome, GA. The people there somehow remember all of us from like 30 years ago and talk to us by name. My family and I might go in there once every other two years, but there they are like long lost friends. The food is awesome and they have the best margaritas by far in that area… perhaps for 50-100 miles.
Manager Tony, and his son, Tony offered excellent, friendly service, beyond expectations, even though they were quite busy. They sang a surprise pot banging, rip roaring happy birthday to my little boy for his tenth.... The look on his face was priceless! Tony's special dinner was delicious, and my wife loved the mixed steak, chicken and shrimp fajitas. If you like horchata, their's was the best we've tasted in a long time. We definitely look forward to visiting their place next trip up this way.
Meh! Boring ..not much flavor to the dishes and rice was dry and crispySalsa was excellentService was goodI meant to get picture, but they had 5 gallons of milk just sitting out on the sidewalk. I told employee.. just replied, yep, they knew. It was over 45 degrees outside and not cold enough to keep out!!
I understand we came on a Saturday night but to let our drinks go empty in-between ordering just drinks and our food...the service was just very very slow. Food was great portions were great

As of today this place missed the mark. The veggie quesadilla wasn't able to hold itself together, the veggies inside were not chopped properly and it wasn't all that hot. The refried beans seems to have been sitting out prior to when I received them and the pico and black beans were sitting in water on the plate I received. Not fresh in the slightest compared to Mexican food I've had.
