Most times I cook at home but I wanted to support a black owned business instead of spending money at Cracker barrel. I went around 9:35a.m Saturday July 30, 2022. I ordered the Jaz special with comes with 2 pancakes, salmon croquette, sausage or bacon and home fries or grits. This was my first time going and I was pleased with the service and how my issue was rectified on the sausage appearing to look burnt and my pancakes not being as light as I wanted them to be. Thank you Yummy cafe for making sure my issue was rectified and that I was satisfied. I don't eat out often but I will probably be back again ?.
Everything about this place is amazing! ❤️ From the service to the food and let’s not leave out the amazing vibe of music playing. I thoroughly enjoyed my brunch today! I have the fried fish and cheese grits, it was hot, fresh and taste great!
Nice spot ! I came for the brunch, they have a DJ and complimentary mimosas ?, the food was great, service was a little slow, but excellent! Definitely will be returning , thank you.
Nice, well kept small business. The salmon sandwich was delicious. The inside was spacious and clean. Staff was really friendly. One of the good local restaurants we have around.
The salmon croquette sandwich is absolutely amazing. I add onions to mine.. I love yummies I come atleast twice a week. Friendly staff and very clean.
OK, so honest review here. The quality, taste, and presentation of the food was spot on and it was quite delicious. I had a take out order. However an item was missing from my order I had to run back into the store to get it, plus I ordered an omelet and 1/2 of the items I asked to be in my omelet weren't in there(no veggies, just meat and cheese) and I paid for egg whites and it was shelled eggs. So, just tighten up in the kitchen a little bit or double check orders to make sure that they are correct before going out and this place is is definitely gonna be a favorite! I recommend giving Yummies a try for sure.
The food here is amazing! If I could give this restaurant 4.5 stars, I definitely would. The only thing keeping it from receiving 5 stars is the salmon croquette being a little on the dry side.I ordered the fish and grits meal, the Jaz’s special with bacon, a side of sausage patties, and a side of beef sausage links. Everything was flavorful and seasoned very well, with the exception of the eggs being unseasoned to provide customers an option to season them to their liking.Let’s start with Jaz’s special. The eggs were fluffy and cooked fresh from shelled eggs, which is a huge plus since some restaurants use powered or liquid eggs. The hash browns were cooked nicely with onions and bell peppers; the bacon was thick cut with a nice crisp and a great chew; the pancakes were thick, golden brown, and hearty; and the salmon croquette was enjoyable, although it was slightly on the dry side.The fish and grits platter was just as enjoyable! The fish was tilapia and the breading was crispy and golden brown on the outside with soft, tender, and flaky flesh on the inside. Now I got to tell you all about the grits…oh those grits! I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed that there was a sauce on top of the grits. The sauce had onions and bell peppers in it and had a nice kick. The texture was creamy and definitely not made with instant grits. This was my first time ever experiencing grits paired with a sauce and I look forward to looking up recipes to make it at home. The toast was already buttered nicely and had a light brown toasting on the outside and a soft, fluffy inside. The sausage patties and smoked sausages were nicely cooked and flavorful as well.All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of my breakfast. The employees were very friendly and professional, plus the inside of the restaurant was very clean and modernized. I look forward to trying items on their lunch menu as well and I definitely plan on returning to Yummies Cafe for years to come.
This place is a gem. The customer service is outstanding, and the food is superb. I am a new regular. You can taste the love in their food.
So first thing they are really nice! Second the food is really good! My favorite thing was the salmon croquet! I will say there is a bit of a wait for the food and the sausage was cooked way too hard but other than that it was a really good experience!All the people who said the food isn't good must be crazy lol
The lady who took our order was a sweetheart. My jerk chicken Alfredo was tasty but a tad bit too spicy to eat in one setting ?. There was a guy hovering around that made my mom feel a little creeped out. The conversations in the kitchen should be toned down if vulgarities are going to be used.Other than that the experience was a good one
