I figured the cost being as high as it was the food would be great. The food if you can call it that was nearly cold as a dollar taco that was 2 days old. The Cajun season would be great if it wasn't over welled with cheap starchy flavored butter. Most people don't know that if you deep freeze seafood then flash boil it its get soggy like the bread you find in parks for ducks. The wet napkins were a good touch who wants the nastiness of half rotten muscles on there hands. And maybe they may have been good but the muscles were 2/3 closed. The corn was great if you mess up corn you should be jailed . And the potatoes were marked up like they found them on the side of the road and gave them a fresh wash. And the crayfish were clearly riding the short bus when they found them. Over all I give the meal a 1/10 and the saddest thing I seen was those wings they were the size of a quarter it was cute like a scene from tiny bites i know who ever lost there pet bird were to find it .
@crab hut - riverdale5/11/2022Ok, so I've been here about 5x in the last 3 months. I usually order, shrimp with head on, black mussels, sausage ?, and corn ?. Sometimes fried catfish as well. The food is good. I've definitely had better. I think it's still in the renovating process to making the establishment bigger. The issue i have is the customer service. It's not friendly at all. Like what happen to customer service. Im not saying be overly enthusiastic, just polite and courteous.I will update as needed
The best thing there was a cup of ice. The food was bland and overcooked. My peach margaritas was full of peach sweetener and minimal alcohol u could feel the diabetes creeping up on me. All the stock on the bar was down to the last two drinks. It was a terrible experience and I will not come back oh the waitress was cordial.
I placed an online order this evening and 1st problem which is bad business, you can’t pay on the app. I ordered 2 fried combos with whiting, oysters and onion rings and a 4 piece whiting basket with a 5 piece shrimp appetizer. I give them an hour to be ready and it still wasn’t. My condiments consisted of 4 tarter sauces, ONE cocktail sauce, 5 packets of hot sauce and 5 ketchup. Mind you I clicked the sauces on each order. Food comes all on top of each other in the box and there is literally a tablespoon of coleslaw each and one was missing and I paid $52 for this mess. I called to express my displeasure at the condiments and they want to argue with me like I can’t count or trying to scam some darn cocktail sauce!! This won’t ever happen again.Don’t waste your money.
Food is pretty good. I come often but now the sauce in the bag is watery. I gave it 2 stars because of the MANAGER NAMED ROGER! I have witnessed him being rude to employees and to customers other than myself. He does not like to fix orders that were made incorrectly but watch’s customers like they stole something. It’s the “hurry up and buy” type of thing. He will be the reason this place will go under soon! Which is sad because the food is pretty good for the most part. He needs to be fired or replaced! I have heard of so many complaints about him.
Last night was my first time at the resturant , wont be my last. I had delicious food ( I had Crawfish , Crab legs, Shrimp , Crab hut seasoning and medium) Delicous , delicous margarita , excellent service . A hidden gem in Riverdale , food comes out quick , its very clean . If you are looking for good seafood , and good drinks ,relax atmosphere. The Crab Hut is your place ! :)
The owner ROGER is very rude. Very disrespectful to his patrons. He treat white customers better than black customers. I suggest we boycott his establishment.
Drinks are always great! I wish they served frozen margaritas, but the Hennessy Margarita is my go to! Love that their wings are small!

Dinner was fun. Atmosphere was festive, clean bathrooms, helpful, informative staff. Food is always seasoned to perfection. Drinks are a little weak... but its a little pricy. Don't remember the cost being this high this summer. Going to have to save up for my next visit.Good dinning experience.
