Walked in an a lady was sitting down eating. We stood there waiting on someone to help us. After a couple of minutes she decided to get up, and say she didn’t see us come in and she was literally sitting there faced towards the door. How you didn’t. I had smothered chicken and it tasted like it was a day old. The cabbage was good and the green beans were great.
Mr. Brown is showing out!!!!!!!!!! The greens have perfect seasoning and a little kick, the Mac n cheese is ON POINT, this cornbread just melts in your mouth and this friend CHICKEN!!!!!!!!!!! If I could give more stars I would! This is my first time trying this restaurant and it will NOT be my last!!! The portions are MASSIVE too!! The customer service is excellent too!!! Definitely will be back!
This meal was delicious! I had collard green yams, dressing, Mac and cheese and bake turkey wing. I will recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a good soul food dinner. It wasn’t to salty or greasy! Thank you brown soul food & catering! ? this was my first time eating here. I will continue eating here when I want some good soul food ??????

A hidden gem and a great place to get some homemade soulfood..it's tucked away off of Hwy 85.. the portion size for the price is great! Everything was seasoned well...my son had the fried chicken & said it was flavorful & fried just how he likes. The employees were friendly & the line moved fast. It's small on the inside but would definitely recommend them over waiting in a drive thru line around the corner...Overall, we will definitely be back.
My very first time at Brown's soul food and catering!! I've been wanting to try them for months I got the steak dinner with rice and string beans. The string beans were good but mid way I got really sick maybe it's just my body and system but the food didn't do to well with me it tasted good but it's a no for me going back and the heavy set light skinned guy is pretty rude
I been going to Brown's now for a long time. last time I went the food was over priced, the dark skin skinny lady was nasty when serving. Got my food home the only thing good was the chop steak, everything wasn't up to par.the cornbread had a wang taste, something almost like it was spoiled. If Brown's going up on price they need to rock out on the food a little better. Get back to the basics, the old way.
I ordered via Grub Hub. They were out of some sides I wanted but the substitutes were so good! I had ribs, cabbage, baked beans, Mac N Cheese. Will definitely ordered again!
I've been here several times but yesterday l don't know what to say. The fried chicken had the clump of uncooked flour on the bottom of the skin. It has no season on it. The corn taste like it was served straight out of the can no butter or seasoning. The dressing and macaroni the same no seasoning. The macaroni was so bland it didn't even taste like it had cheese on it.
This “restaurant” is less than good and mediocre at best. It’s a basic run of the mill soul food restaurant that lacks the kind of soul I appreciate. The food and atmosphere are lackluster and the employees (both Shawns included) are extremely disrespectful and rude. Imagine grown men verbally attacking customers unprovoked.Definitely NOT coming back here and I sincerely hope nobody does either. They deserve LESS than 0 stars.
