I love this place usually but they forgot the whole point to my meal (the meat) I ordered catfish filet and got just my sides. After going somewhere else (This Is It) to get catfish, and finally sitting down to eat my boyfriend notices hair in his turkey legs plate. So disappointing.
I ate here for the first time 6/16. The line was literally wrapped around the corner. The wait wasn’t bad at all. You can’t go inside so someone comes to you to take your name and order. The food was good overall. The Mac and cheese was a little bland for my taste but still enjoyable. The portion size was great!I purchased two meals. I’ll definitely go back.
No hype here… thought the food can’t be this good to wait in a long line wrapped around the building!! I was so very WRONG! If you in or around Riverdale, Airport, Fayette and Clayton County you must stop by. May have some the best Soul Food in town. Deliciously fried Catfish, pork chops, well seasoned veggies, and great portions. Stayed in line over 30 minutes. No one left. Be prepared to wait…. For the deliciousness of well prepared dishes! Don’t forget dessert. And as always, Don’t forget to tip!!!
I was really hungry for a home cooked meal and Annie Laura's Kitchen is the closest to home cooking that you'll get. I ordered the meatloaf and the veggie plate. The meatloaf was a bit different from what I'm accustomed to but, it wasn't bad. Everything was seasoned well. You have to excuse the lil piece of cornbread muffin in the second picture. It was good! My favorite sides out of all that's pictured? Turkey collard greens, green beans with potatoes and you guessed it.. the yams! Need some soul food in your life? This is where it's at!
First time visiting and Food was good overall. Couple of suggestions 1. Lessen the huge stems in the greens 2. Dressing is soupy had to eat with a spoon once my turkey wing was covered in broth ( pls improve the consistency of the gravy) cream of Mushroom slathered on top wasn't a good look 3. Cobbler crust to fruit ratio was off. We love crust give us crust vs extra sweet cooked fruit. Even tho the line was very long, the process of ordering and getting the food was smooth. I will try this place again and hopefully notice some changes.
Took my brother Larry, for an early birthday dinner! Loved it! And the Peach Cobbler was well worth the 30 minutes wait! Thanks!
The lie at Annie Laura's is always long, but I wish I could go more often. It is about the only good soul food restaurant in the area. The food is always good, but my favorite is the macaroni and cheese. It is cheesy and well flavored. I wish they had more help so that we could get in and out quicker.
This food is clearly made from love! It’s definitely giving Sunday dinners at Grandmas!
Food is decent. The wait is horrible. They need a better, more efficient system. To have to wait an hour or more for smaller portions and higher prices is not always worth it. They would get more business if they fixed this issue.
Visiting from Texas, I was told the food was really good..it wasn't too bad. The food wasn't hot. I would eat there again but, I think I'll wait until it open up the dining room. It was only drive through.
