Placed a to go order for 2 orders of fajitas, only to get home and and realize they didn't give us tortillas. I called the restaurant to let them know, because this isn't the first time this has happened. I should have checked the bag. The guy that answered the phone asked if I wanted to come back and get them and I said no, I live 30-40m mins away. He said what do you want me to do about it. I told him I wanted to make the manager aware because this has happened before. I just spent $60 and you can't even apologize. We've supported the Jalapenos establishments for years. Won't happen again!!
I originally wanted Birria tacos but Flaco Taco wasn’t open, so we went to Jalapeños as our next option. I ordered from the Taco Truck section: Tacos Vampiro. I asked for a side order of lettuce tomato and sour cream. Instead they put the sour cream, lettuce and tomato on top. There was no Oaxaca cheese, cilantro nor onions on it, and that’s what the menu said comes with it. Besides that the beef steak was a poor grade of beef. It was full of indigestible membranes and tendons or connective tissues. You couldn’t even chew it. The absolute worst taco I’ve ever had in my life! Do better Pooler Georgia across from the outlet.
This is for the location closest to I16 off Pooler Pkwy. We went Thursday evening. My sister and I were looking forward to good food and service like we have received at other locations. We sat at the bar. There was one other customer sitting at the bar. It appeared to be a slow evening. the server/bartender evidently was already having a bad night. we ordered our drinks. I had originally requested lime with my drink when I ordered it. I asked again for lime when she came to take our order. Still no lime. Apparently we interrupted her time with the people at the 2 tables across from the bar. Not sure if they were friends or family, but they had no food. While we were waiting for our food, I went to the ladies room. BAD MISTAKE!!! The smell was putrid, and was very dirty. Decided I could wait. Got back to the bar, food was finally coming. My sister then requested my lime. AGAIN. She walked across the bar grabbed 2 slices with her bare hands, and tossed them on the bar. She started back to her corner and I called her back. Told her I could not eat my taquitos as they had burnt spots, and the meat was so tough, I couldn't even finish the one bite I attempted to eat. She snapped back at me, saying well, you have 2 chicken ones there too. I broke one in half to show her they were as bad the beef, and grease literally drained out on the plate. She grabbed the plate and tossed them in the trash. Never even offered to let me order something different. i got up and walked outside. I have been a server, and customer service for many years. There is no excuse for rude, nor treating customers like she did. WILL NEVER GO BACK!
Decent spot. The tables are pretty crowded, but the food and service were good for the most part. The carnitas were super greasy, though. Carnitas are meant to be greasy, but this was like, yowza! On the other hand, the Fajita Potato was awesome. Definitely a place we'll be happy to hit up again!
Small Mexican restaurant in Pooler- little pricey but the food was huge portions. Our waitress Hunter was awesome & very attentive (would give her 5 stars also if i could!!)
Stopped in for a late lunch. Service was great. And as usual the food fantastic. Started off with a frozen margarita and chips with salsa. Then we had the chicken fajitas quesadilla and the burrito relleno. Oh so good. This was my son and his wife’s favorite hideout when living inPooler.
I am always confused looking at a mexican themed menu. Nothing really jumps out at me. So i order the same thing over and over. Went outside of my comfort zone today and ordered the Carnitas on the advice of my server, Lindsay. Best dish i've had in a while. Amazing. Apparently i arrived at a time when the staff was minimal as there were only two servers available. But Lindsay was efficient and attentive making my meal most enjoyable. She even made time for friendly conversation. You can count on me coming back for more.
We had a really nice time here. Our server Patricia was very efficient and checked on us often as we had an early dinner and chatted over a great margarita!! My DP had steak and shrimp with rice and beans, it was really good. I enjoyed the chimichangas with chicken, rice and beans. It was delicious!!!
My husband and I had lunch here yesterday, I had the beef Chimmchga and the meat was very tough, after the 3 Rd bite, I was stabbed in the roof of my mouth, and the bottom lip with a yellow toothpick, the waitress told sorry they forgot to take out after frying, as far as I know they are not fried, they are cooked on a flat top griddle ,I was given a replacement which I was not eating, I'm scared this pick may have been in someone's mouth before , I will never go back here!
They always make my order wrong. This time I asked for extra cheese because they barely give me any at all and they charged for the “extra cheese” but didn’t give me any. So now i have to put a side thing of cheese on 4 tacos. Thanks a lot for the dry tacos. Never ordering from this place again.
