I don't know why but I feel like it's really weird writing an Applebee's review. However I have eaten at this place a couple of times and gotten take out many times. Anytime I order from here the food is awesome, the service is great. When I get to go food they always include all of the sauces I like, and I don't think they cut down on their portions when you get to go which I feel is super important. So maybe it is weird rating Applebee's but I actually really like this place and the food is great. The irresistible bowls are great, Applebee's listen to me please bring back the chicken and broccoli irresistible bowl I need it in my life. Make it a part of your menu please ?
First time back in 2 years. Service was awesome and food was great. Nice to have another choice in Pooler. Have been few the past couple years. We will be back.
My wife called ahead to see if there was a wait. The employee stated no. We arrived 3 minutes later. My wife and I walked in and asked for a table for 2. The employee stated it would be 30-45 minutes. I looked around in the restaurant and there were about 30 empty tables. I kind of laughed and asked if he was joking. He said no. It would be at least 30 minute minimum. We turned around and walked out. We have always had good service in the past at Applebee's and there food is always good. I guess we caught them on a bad day.
Worst experience ever!!! Drove from Beaufort, SC to Pooler and had to wait 30 minutes for a table because they were short staff. Then I was forced to sit at a high top table to accommodate my family and I have 2 toddlers. These seats are not comfortable at all either. After stopping an employee after being seated, we finally got a server after 10 minutes. Put our orders in and the server came back and said we couldn't get our steaks because they were all frozen. Never again!!!! As much as I love Applebee's I won't be coming back here!!!!
The restaurant was obviously short staffed but our waitress was phenomenal. Erica (sorry if I'm spelling it wrong!) was SO nice and respectful, and was somehow able to be doing a dozen things at once - probably more. The food was great of course, but the service from her was what made it a good visit for us.
This is by far a nice restaurant. The staff was amazing eventhough they was short staff. Keisha was rocking she had at least 9 tables and made sure we all was taken care of. The manger who was the hostess was everywhere and she was on it. They got hit pretty hard around 1 and they still held it together. There was one couple that was really rude to the server and manager. What the nasty of this couple the manager was still nice and helpful. I would give the manager a 50 star if I could. Not everyone appreciate good service and what the staff go though to keep us happy. Good job staff.
You can tell when you walk in this location, this team of Applebees associates needs a pep talk and some energy. Hostess has the personality of a kiosk. 45 minute wait, 70% of tables are empty due to their short staffing. Our waiter was the savior for our visit. He did a pretty good job for the circumstances. The manager is basically doing damage control. I suggest he be more encouraging and stay positive plus. The staff seemed like really good folks, they just lacked that normal Applebee’s strut. Applebee’s is a solid, usually. Maybe we caught this place on a bad day. But as I sit in their parking lot writing this review, I keep seeing more folks not willing to wait, what is now an hour and a half to just get seated. Hope it gets better for them soon.
I don't know what happened to this restaurant. Service was aweful! When we got there we were told a 45min wait for a party of 5. Not a big deal. When we were seated a waitress took our drink and appetizer order. She stated that she was not our waitress and was just helping out. Our drinks arrived quickly however after waiting 45 mins with no one coming to our table to take our order I stopped another waitress and asked her who our server was. She told me the name and said she would go get her. When the waitress got to our table she talked immensely about random things that didn't make any sense! I had to interrupt her to ask about our appetizers and taking our order. After rambling for anther minute She finally took our order. She went to check on our appetizers as well however she never returned!! After 25mins I began looking around for her she was bussing another table. I stopped another waitress to flag down our waitress she came back over apologizing then walked away. Then my daughter watched her as she went to the work station she began entering an order. We thought this surely cannot be our order she took 25mins ago being entered. I then asked for the manager just to get some answers. I was very polite but very annoyed at that time we had been seated for an hour. I simply asked the manager about our appetizers and that we asked our server but she never returned with any info I also asked about wait time for the food and if it had been put in. It had not!! The manager returned 10 mins later with appetizers and said our meals had not been entered!! At this point I was very annoyed and frustrated. We waited another hour with no food a total of 2 hours. We ended up leaving after they told us our food was 3rd in the que so they haven't started on it and that it would probably be another 45 mins to an hour!! We got the drinks and appetizers free. I don't think I will be returning.
When me and my friends got there they told us that it was a 30 min wait, which was fine. After we got seated and ordered our food it took them and hour and a half to give us our appetizers. Then took them a another hour and a half to get us our food just to find out our food was RAW in the middle and cold. Don’t go here if you want to be disappointed!!!
Me and my two friends came to this location tonight. It took us 30 mins to get seated waited over an hour and half for appetizers and an hour for food. We all ordered the 2 for $24 or 2 for $29 (salad,classic burger, whiskey burger, ribs, chicken pasta, and chicken and shrimp). While waiting for the rest of our food my friend burger top fell off while the waiter was bringing it to our table.As we were waiting my other friend cut open her burger to find it was raw and then my other friend cut hers and found it was raw also. My chicken on my pasta was cold as well. During our time waiting for our food the customers being us had the police called on them for acholol in plastic cups even though they were still drinking and waiting for there kids to get there ice cream.
