We go here fairly regularly with no intent to stop as long as we live here. On this particular visit, we sat down immediately (around 5 on a weekday). The service was fast and the waitress was attentive. Our cook seemed newish but he still put on a pretty good show... more importantly, the good was DELICIOUS. I had shrimp and scallops, wife had steak and chicken, kids had shrimp and it was all cooked to perfection. As usual, portion sizes were enormous and we had leftovers for a few days. Prices have gone up like everywhere else so we paid a little more but that's the norm these days.
We love eating at Kobe's! Their food is absolutely delicious, always. We had a new server, Devin, and he did a great job at taking care of us! They are always busy because the food and service is always good so we wouldake sure to make reservations. You'll never be disappointed. We drive an hour to eat here. We'll worth the trip, every time! A+++
CHECK YOUR BILL. BEWARE THE PARTY CHARGE.TIP IN CASH ONLY.Our Whole Hibachi table was charged 18% of each party’s respective bill. The party charge is only for PARTIES OF 6 OR MORE PEOPLE. None of our parties had 6 or more people in them. We spoke up and they “removed it” but our new bill still had it. We had to tell them again for them to actually remove it. I’m sure they do that to see who pays it without looking at the bill.Service from waitress was very slow but food was great. Hibachi Chef was awesome and quick with cooking the food.
Savannah was a delightful server. The hibachi chicken was delicious and no extra on fried rice ( when not cooked in front of you). We came early at opening at 11:30. I live about 2.0 miles away and must pass at least 15 other Asian restaurants. Kobe Japanese is the best south of Atlanta.
We had a large party and I know the day was long and busy but our server only did refills when asked never brought bags or boxes we got our own.they ran out of tea at 815 and didn't make anymore . The chef was great and funny he made the visit worth it.
I was there tonight arrived at 5:45 told there was an hr wait so we waited. More ppl come in after us and they were seated before us. So i ask how much longer is our wait it’s now 7:00 “oh you’ll be seated next”. Long story short we didn’t get seated until 7:30 after everyone else that came in after us had been seated and some had left
Came here to eat dinner with my husband, my cousin and her partner. First, the bathrooms were extremely disgusting. The bathroom floors were filled with trash. There was no toilet paper and no paper towels. The owner (woman) was extremely rude and tried to scam my cousin out of a $14.00 appetizer. She ordered a sushi pizza- the fish was very bad -one bite made her feel sick. She asked the server to take it off the check. When the server came back with our check we were indeed charged for the appetizer and the server said the owner refused to remove it. When the owner came to speak to us she told us she would not remove it because she insisted her chefs worked hard on it and regardless of the fish being bad that her material should not go to waste(there was one bite missing from the whole sushi pizza) she argued back and forth with us and even laughed in our faces when she saw we had gotten upset (rightfully so) ! Even after we offered to pay for the appetizer to leave and move on the owner refused to accept it and leave the table- she said she wanted to make sure she got her point across and continued to argue to us . Needless to say- we paid for the appetizer and she happily charged us. The owner is a scammer and is rude! This was terrible customer service!!!!!
This was our first time at Kobe, we just moved to the area. Chef Ray was fantastic. He was funny, entertaining, and the food was great. We really enjoyed our evening and cannot wait to go back. We will certainly ask for Chef Ray again! **Note to guests, stay off your cell phone. Engage. Relax. Have fun! It is worth it!
Best Hibachi in south Atlanta area, all my kids ask for Kobe for their Birthday Dinners and we are never disappointed. Normally we skip the show and eat in the dinning area, the food is exactly the same and you don’t have to stick around. The Sushi is also excellent, we will be back again and again.
This was not the Kobe's I was looking for.Food was good. Ambience was off. The service was rushed. The menu was extensive for a party that truly came for a hibachi experience. (Meals that honestly should not be on the hibachi side was there.)We had a party of 12 people that had never been to a place where the chef prepares your meal in front of you with the flair that is Kobe's.The kitchen. Had to reopen to make some of our parties meals causing them to take the meals to go, since everyone who chose hibachi was already done eating. The chef was cool but also rushing.Spilled food on the birthday girl. The server knocked over a champaign glass to one of the party members (by mistake). And the server had to repeatedly argue with kitchen staff since they were ready to leave seemingly 30 minutes before closing.Maybe to get the authentic Kobe experience in Georgia, Atlanta would be best versus Southside/ Peachtree. We waited almost 20 minutes for the tab...Smh
