Very disappointed in the service I received at this location during my lunch hour. When I entered no one acknowledged me to take my order. Myself (a black woman) and a black man stood waiting as if our money was not good enough to patronize this business. He even expressed how he was dissatisfied with the service he was receiving!Zapata staff needs to understand the importance of great customer service. Please do better at servicing all of your customers no matter the race. All paying customers should be treated equally and with respect. I will no longer support this business after today’s experience.- A disappointed customer!
I have never had such poor customer service at a restaurant. My friends and I came to this restaurant to celebrate my pregnancy and gender reveal tonight and when ordering I asked the server if I could have a margarita without the tequila. She said blankly “no- we don’t serve drinks without alcohol.” I was surprised and said oh ok so they’re all pre-mixed (assuming alcohol was already part of the drink)? She said “no- our manager says we cannot serve drinks without alcohol.” I said ok but I’m pregnant and will pay the regular price can you just have the bartender withhold the alcohol so I can celebrate (the rest of our party had ordered their drinks). The server said she would ask the manager. She came back and said “the manager says we don’t serve drinks without alcohol.” So I asked to speak with the manager trying to explain that I’m not trying to jip them money because I want an alcohol free drink- I’m literally celebrating my pregnancy. I waited over 30 minutes and no manager ever came. I asked our serve multiple times for the manager and she said the manager is busy. One time she even pointed to the manager who was rearranging the patio. The manager just blatantly ignored me. Eventually some young gentlemen came out- didn’t explain who he was but said it was the restaurant and the owners policy to not serve drinks without alcohol. So I asked for the owner’s contact information. At this point we were almost done with our meal, and I just wanted to simply understand why a pregnant woman couldn’t get a drink without the alcohol. Mind blowing. The guy blew me off, the server kept ignoring my request and at the very end said we don’t give out the owner’s info. I said I can’t have the general restaurant’s email for issues and concerns? She said no and that was that. I have never felt so disrespected as a patron and as a pregnant woman. Spend your money at another one of the amazing local restaurants who are much kinder to their customers.
Good place. I have to give them credit on the margarita, it was as good as I can make. The chips and dip were good. The fajita was good, served stew style not sizzling, and it was fine. Our waiter Kai was nice. The only knock would be that they need to trim their steak better, both my wife and I had pieces we had to spit out. The inside was comfortable enough, we sat at a half both table, though I prefer full booths. I'd go back, and I'd hope to see the meat quality improved.
In historical norcross! Happening place, outside sitting available. Parking is limited but can find plenty on street or next to Crossing steakhouse. Chips salsa were good but tacos, super dry ?. Tacos look good but wasn’t tasty. That is the reason giving 3 stars, will try again & might update the review later. Service was good.
Service was excellent and menu decent. Got fajitas that were tasty but not a sizzling plate. Think more stir fry. Still, pretty good. Table mate said margaritas were a winner.
Make sure to stop here if you are in the area! Super cool place with very good, true Mexican food and drinks. Wife had the Paloma and was impressed, tacos and churros were sensational as well! Only in town for a few days, but will be back before we leave.
I eat here quite a bit and the enchiladas verdes with flour tortillas are my favorite. Give them chefs a raise because they cook like their lives depend on it. Staff is also great. There’s this one guy who I think is British because of his bucket hat and crocs who always takes care of me. He told me about the flour tortillas being better and I never looked back. He also put me on with Diet Coke. I forgot his name but next time I come I’ll ask for him again. Anyways great service and ill definitely be back.
The service, food and drinks are PHENOMENAL!!! I had a quick lunch after my salon appointment. So good!
