You just have to try their french fries,the food was fresh and delish.The place to stop and partake of a great meal.
First time in over 2 years. Very, very clean. Staff was cleaning the tables as quickly as you left. Food was good. Chili dogs, onion rings, chili burger, onions. Just as good as last time.The cleanest restaurant I have seen in Gwinnett County.
Fast and delicous food. I had chilly cheeseburger and chilly cheese dog with onion rings. Restrooms and tables are dirty.
Rated 5 stars because it's hard to pin down anything negative against The Varsity, an Atlanta classic. Is the food overpriced? Yes. Is the end result questionable unless you're still in highschool? Yeah. Will you go back for the experience and delicious taste? Absolutely.I love grabbing a chili cheese dog combo with onion rings and a "milkshake," which at The Varsity is essentially a giant cup of ice cream. I don't frequent the place, but once or twice a year... you just have to go.
So I have been eating at The Varsity since I was a kid in the 70's, starting at the downtown location, and just ate at the Gwinnett location today. I always get the same thing( two red dogs and onion rings) and it was as awesome today as it was back in the day!!! The onion rings are THE BEST I have ever had, never had the French fries cuz the rings are just too good!! I have been to every location through the years except Athens and will always love this Atlanta landmark and tradition that's been in my family forever❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The young man that took our order was a great guy with an amazing attitude! The food did not disappoint, either! Great onion rings, fries, chili cheese steaks and slaw dogs!!

One of my husband's favorite places to eat. Their service is very friendly and welcoming. My experiences reflect really warm food...not hot & crispy. So, I've never really had the best onion rings like I thought I could have there.
Don't go here often.... So it was pretty good this time and has improved since the last time I was in... Service and food prep was very fast... The Varsity is a Atlanta landmark and the onion rings were a tasty treat
No surprises here, exactly what you expect from this establishment. It’s the slightest bit difficult to find, because it’s not right on the main road, but your GPS will take you in. The seating area is extra big along with the parking lot, which is good, because this is a popular lunch stop.
