Service e was slow and was not a very busy night, ordered the 10 meat plate and asked for medium and got well done. Ask for them to remake and they brought back very rare, never asked how was it now or checked back in. I will not return or recommend
My brother and I wanted to feast on some steak so we decided to check out Sabores Del Plata. Let's start off with the good first!!Fun environment with good music and wall art. The menu is fun and the team is friendly. We ordered their PARRILLADA which will set you back $90 bucks for the following: picanha, filet mignon, skirt steak, bottom sirloin, short ribs, chitterlings, sausages, blood sausages, sweetbreads, and chicken. It also came with an option of 3 sides so we picked their rice, potato salad and fried eggs. We started off with their PROVOLETA which is their grilled provolone with oregano, olive oil and a bread basket. Personally I thought this alone was not worth it HOWEVER once your meat plate comes out, it pairs up perfect!!Now for the things I wasn't a fan of... after we got through their picanha, filet mignon and bottom sirloin, the rest of the meats were... either tough to chew or lacking in flavor ? Their chicken was OK but nothing special but we did enjoy their sausage. Their chimichurri sauce does save the day though and if you cover the meat with enough of it, it's still good. With the amount of food we got I was hoping for better beverage service but unfortunately if you order a soda you get it by the can, and although service was very friendly, it did fall behind a bit on the timely part of the service. Once I was able to catch their attention for a refill I just got a second can of soda... I think a location like this needs a soda fountain. One more thing... their rice and eggs were perfect but their potato salad was lacking any flavor, just a normal potato salad.All in all, awesome experience with some unique flavors. Their individual plates and entreesook amazing so I'll have to go back and try a few different things from their menu. Check them out if you're in the area and get you some of those top pieces of steak, you'll enjoy it!!
Genuine tastes of Argentina and Uruguay, this restaurant will make your tastebuds feel like you’re in the river plata having steak in Buenos Aires. We tried multiple dishes and appetizers typical of Argentina and all of them were fantastic. I will definitely be coming back and bringing my family and friends to Sabores del plata!The only reason for the 4 stars vs 5 is the physical setting, it’s not the best and could be improved a little, especially the wall decorations and the outside. Other than that the food and staff are excellent.
The waitress was really nice and the meat selection is huge. It is not your average 5 star restaurant in uptown, but you definitely feel you are in a stake house in South America. We ordered a Parriyada with 10 meats and it did not disappoint us. Again if you like to try new stuff and out of the beaten path new places this could be you next stop.Amd if you wonder if we ever finished that parriyada... it was too much food for only 95 taxes.
Took my Uruguayan partner here for comfort food. They did not have Patagonia beer as listed on the menu. The empanadas were disappointing. He did not enjoy the Milanesa Neapolitana. The flan was the best part.
The best true Uruguayan restaurant in Atlanta. Best churrasco (skirt steak) and chimichurri in the Atlanta area. The food is always excellent as is the service. I recommend making reservations.
Sabores del Plata is an all pro operation. Top flight cocktails, welcoming staff and perfectly prepared South American fare - mains, sides, desserts. I can barely wait for my next visit. All the stars.
Walked right in and immediately seated so that was a plus. We ordered the 10 Meat platter. Food arrived in great time but it wasnât seasoned and many of the cuts were tough. Very disappointed. Drinks were good but we visited because of the advertising of the 10 meat.
