The dim sum is incredible. I lived in China for 4 years throughout high school and this meal brought me home for a bit. Highly recommend!
I literally never write reviews, but I wanted to drop one here because we had such a good time. Happy Valley showed my family and I a really exciting new experience! Mom wanted to try dim sum, and neither my sister and I had tried it before - we weren’t sure if we were going to pick a good restaurant (esp one that would satisfy my picky mother), or be able to navigate something new.Everything at Happy Valley was made very easy and smooth, and we were able to have an awesome lunch trying out a whole new way of eating. We tried all kinds of food, with a huge variety. If something wasn’t someone’s style, we had at least 3 times more plates featuring other things they would like. You couldn’t go wrong, and your mouth was always getting something new. Plus, best of all, everything was shockingly cheap, even for 3 people. We walked away full, satisfied, and talking nonstop about the experience. We’ll definitely be back!
This place is the real deal—delicious food and friendly staff. Jason and the rest of the staff work really hard to not only make the restaurant run smoothly but also impart pieces of their culture into the experience. My personal favorite is the Peking Duck, as well as the lobster, cooked in a traditional Cantonese style. I will be back!
I want to give you five stars I really do I've been to this place at night for weddings and the food is delicious but for Dim Sum it's a hit or miss. I will come back on a weekend when more people are there or maybe the food will taste fresh. Overall it's a decent place to eat and very good customer service. It always looks clean and I always feel welcome.
Hosted. Waitresses. Waiters are warmth, welcoming, friendly and quick bringing Dim Sum. They even have Feb 2022 Lunar New Year show in their restaurant.
I love that each dimsum dish comes with only a few pieces, and the price is super afordable.
We took our three grandsons for the middle ones 16th birthday. They loved it food was excellent and you got plenty. Would definitely recommend and go back. Service is great
Last Spring (2021) the food and service had deminished to the point that I and family seriously considered dropping this resturant from our "best" list. I am happy to report that Happy Valley has redeemed itself and returned to the top of our favorite Dim Sum list. Menu dishes are also top of the class. The owners have taken critisism to heart and completely turned this dining experience back to where it was - at the top of our favorite list. the pandemic has not been kind to the dining industry and all resturants have to climb over many obsticles, thankfully Happy Valley has come back all the way! Dim Sum is very good, but do not forget the desserts - egg custard and coconut tarts are exceptional.
Happy Valley made us very HAPPY. It is located in a large strip type mall are. It is a very large restaurant with lots of great employees. We enjoyed everything we picked off the rolling carts. We had a second cup of the shrimp wonton soup so that is a must. Very good price. The whole are looked very cool with other restaurant and an Asian Market. A very good stop for us!
Waitiers do not know what is in each dish. Neither do they speak great English. Which can be extremely dangerous for people with allergies or food sensitivities. I have a shellfish allergy and the waiter told me the tofu rolls just had tofu in it. Come to find out, after taking a bite of the second roll and placing it back on my plate, a piece of shrimp fell out of the roll. I immediately had to leave to the shell gas station across the street and buy Benadryl. When I returned my friend was explaining to the manager the error they made. The first thing the manager asks me was “How was her English” as if she was more concerned about building a defense for a lawsuit. The sad part of this all is that they still made us pay for our meal. The message they sent by this was that my life did not matter enough for them comp the entire meal. I will never be going back here again. Run from this place while you can.
