The customer service was great; however, not the food.I got the baked chicken, rice with brown gravy, macaroni and cheese, cornbread muffin, peach cobbler, and sweet potato pie. Plus Sweet Tea.-Baked chicken: Okay but wasn’t all the way cooked-Rice with gravy: Pretty good-Cornbread muffin: Okay-Peach cobbler: Nasty. There were no biscuits, only crust and the peaches were soggy.-Sweet Potato Pie: Okay because it was cold. It would probably been good if it was warm.-Sweet Tea: OkayPrice for everything was $16.731 meat with 2 sides, muffin or roll, and drink is $10.00 so the price is reasonable.

The food was very tasty, and the amount of food served was great. This is a "No thrills, No Special effects" place. The food (a Meat, and two sides) are served on a paper plate, and you get your own plastic fork, knife, and spoon. Your drink is poured by yourself, into a paper cup. The day I went I got the Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, and Stewed Tomatoes and Okra. I drank Sweet Tea. Oh, and I got what was supposed to be a cornbread muffin, but it was way too sweet! Tasted more like a Cupcake minus the frosting! All in All, I didn't leave there hungry.

This is my first time trying Donnie’s , and I was not disappointed. My partner and I went in for breakfast but it had needed at 11:30 am. So we stayed and tried their lunch menu.Very friendly service and a young lady behind the counter guided us on what to choose. My partner chose the country fried stake, which was very nicely cooked and the gravy was delicious, with a side of peach cobbler and their potatoes. I had their baked chicken ( needed a little bit more salt ) and sides were potatoes and collard green ( delicious) plus our drinks and two corn muffins. HUGE portions for a great price !

The food was cafeteria style, not buffet. While the food was pleasant, there wasn't anything to write home about. The young woman behind the counter served a good healthy portion, so I didn't leave hungry. The only problem I had was their cornbread was way too sweet, like it held a cup of sugar in it. I had beef tips over rice, black eyed peas, and tomatoes and okra mix. It cost $10.00 plus tax. Came with a drink, I chose sweeten tea.

Was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was here! Had country fried steak dipped in white gravy over rice along with cabbage and green beans plus a roll and sweet tea for $10 including tax! The place was very clean.... will definitely go back!

Donnie's was recently sold to a new owner. The new owner bumped up the price from $7 a whole meal with a drink to $10. This is no longer a hidden gem for a low priced lunch/dinner anymore, it is now full blown expensive meal. I would rather go down the street to Hibachi Buffet on 1825 Liddell Ln and get all you can eat Chinese Buffet with a larger variety and unlimited food for $10.99. I rather buy a bowl of Pho for $9.99. This place is overpriced now and didn't off anything else new.

I want to start by saying prices are descent. The menu on line caught my eye... I'm a vegetarian so got veggie platter Mac and cheese a no go for me. Not baked good if baked...the roasted potatoes they were ok not hot enough the collards were the best of my plate could of had some onions cooked in them. I don't really drink any thing besides H20 and herbal hot teas. Tried the lemonade can give them a ?? if they made it themselves ? it was good..I can say the gentleman maybe owner was real pleasant. Have to give them 3 stars...☹️ from Indy

Tasty home cooking for low prices, and amazing customer service. Food comes out fast too. I think some items like the grits come unsalted so that each person can season it to their taste which I appreciate. I heard the owner has done a lot to give back to the community which makes me happy to support this local business. We will be back!

First time eating here and my food was amazing! I had the pan seared chicken rice and Mac and cheese and it was delicious!

Great fresh cooked to order breakfast. This place has been here for around 20yrs and that says a lot about a local place. Keep up the hard work. ???
