I don't understand how this place is in business. This was the worst, I ordered brisket slices and I received chopped. I'm sure it wouldn't change the flavor and the dryness. The hot sauce is nasty, it's has a weird taste. Mac and cheese is garbage as well as the greens.. Garlic bread is plain. I couldn't even finish it before my stomach started hurting.. I don't see how they have any good ratings.. Straight garbage
Absolutely incredible food! The homemade honey mustard sauce is so yummy! And the macaroni and cheese is phenomenal. I was downtown as a vendor for the arts market and was blown away by how good my lunch was. I’ve thought about it all day lol
Brisket was dry. Zero smoke flavor. Got 3 bites worth. Ate 2 of them. Smoke chicken had zero smoke flavor. Dark on on side. White on the other. Greens were good when I added the hot BBQ sauce. Mac and cheese tasted like it had been sitting in a cafeteria line for a while. Hot BBQ sauce was really good. Wife's chopped brisket sandwich was dry as well.
Tried the Oink Joint for the first time for a Saturday lunch. What an awesome place. Great location in downtown Newnan with good parking. Very casual, order at the counter and your food is brought to you. All 3 in our party loved their lunch. BBQ Reuben, Korean tacos and the Texan BBQ sandwich were all wonderful. Very reasonably priced. Like to try the BBQ plates next time. Highly recommend for lunch.
Great BBQ, brisket was amazing. The woman who took our order was as nice as can be! Nice small beer selection too!
I wish I took a picture of what I got. I got the two combo plate with brisket and sausage my two sides were Brunswick stew and mac & cheese. The sausage was excellent great flavor great taste it was delicious, the mac & cheese little bit on the plain side the Brunswick stew was Brunswick stew nothing special. the brisket however was dry it was two slices of brisket cut in half to make it look like you had four so for the extra money the brisket was not worth it at all. I'm wondering if brisket was cooked a couple of days ago and just reheated because there was no moisture in it at all. The barbecue sauce I got was hot but it had a different taste was not a fan of the barbecue sauce either but that is my taste. The sweet barbecue sauce was pretty decent.
This place was recommended to us by a couple that is new to our church in Douglasville. We decided to give it a try on our date night. We were well pleased by the taste of our food. I ordered the Pork Sandwich with Tater Tots and my wife ordered the Cadillac Chicken Sandwich with Coleslaw. Food came out very quickly and just as requested. It was very delicious. This will be our goto place for BBQ on Newnan. This location is highly recommended!
Haven’t been disappointed yet when I’ve eaten here. I particularly like their collard greens and their Brunswick stew! My coworker says the loaded potato is amazing as well.
Good barbecue!Went with my family (5 of us), and it was quite busy when we arrived. It was a 35 minute wait, but that is to be expected on a Saturday evening. As soon as we walked in, you can smell the original, historic wood and brick (which I personally enjoy, some members did not), then the smell of barbecue.Mac and cheese was an unanimous hit, but my favorite was the buffalo chicken taco. The coleslaw was not a sweet coleslaw, but still enjoyable. Baked beans were spicy. We did not get to try the texas toast as they were out of it. They gave a toasted and buttered hamburger bun as replacement. I used that to make a sandwich out of the pulled pork and coleslaw. The spicy barbecue was quite nice and spicy.The dining room is self seat, but the decor is pretty. I would go back and recommend this restaurant to friends and family.
If your starving this place is very good but if your use to great BBQ then 3 stars are valid for this place I was disappointed with the Mac and cheese and the brisket was dry when I specifically asked for the fatty juicy parts. I still wouldn't say it was disgusting, its mediocre BBq.
