I'll say the good first.. the staff were super friendly and accommodating to the fact we ate outside with our dog. The unfortunate aspect of the experience was everyone participating in the poker games inside came outside to smoke. We are not smokers and it completely ruined the meal. One of my scallops tasted rotten. Like fish that sat outside for a couple days. I know prices are going up but 75 dollars for 4 scallops, 6 shrimp, and some fish is too much. I still taste cigarettes...
The restaurant seems secondary to the poker playing. The food was barely palatable. Brought my dog and ate outside with everyone coming out to smoke right next to the (only) table. With every bite it was a mouthful of multiple peoples cigarettes. Don't waste your money it's overpriced anyway.
Hot dogs were either all meat or chicken. Not good. Didn't try other food. Quantity good and staff excellent. $15 for hot dog combo ridiculous (2 hot dogs, 2 bags chips, soda).
We all ordered something different and then shared. Who knew that seafood and hot dogs would go together so well? Seafood was fresh and did not have that freezer burn you get at other restaurants. Can't wait to come back on our next trip
Wings are terrible and very little sauce. Over priced! Different price from any menu that you can find online. Fries had no seasoning at all.
Please go somewhere else. This place is horrible. The service is unacceptable and the food comes from a can. Dog food has more flavor. And if you read the owners responses to people who have bad reviews, you can see he/she has no manners and should not be in charge. Save your money and go eat somewhere else. This isn’t it!
Food was sub par shrimp were over cookedMeal overpriced for what you got. And when the waitress finally asked if I wanted a refill on my iced tea and I told her unsweetened, when I tasted it I found she had put some sweet tea in my cup , probably poured it out then filled it with unsweetened, but I could still taste the sweet tea. I was not happy and will not return.
One of the best meals I have eaten out in a LONG time! The fried green tomatoes were really good as was the potato salad! The fried shrimp were superb!!! Finally, the banana pudding was great! Can’t wait to go back!
One of the best local lunch eats in Newnan, or all of south Atlanta for that matter. Fresh seafood of all kinda and the best onion rings you can find. Pro tip get a bowl of stew or gumbo ??
Well I’m actually home until January so I thought I’d check out some hometown places! I’ve got mixed reviews on this Restaurant. Service was great, actually no other customers until after I was seated, but very attentive. I never caught her name! I travel the Country and review every place I eat. I had Oysters Rockefeller and was slightly disappointed at the size of the Oysters, but still very tasty. Was crazy about the Shrimp Cocktail, Shrimp we’re a good size but tasted to watery. Out of White Zin, so tried their House Cab, extremely to dry. Now, Dessert! Please stop trying to pass off Homemade Banana Pudding as Vanilla Pudding, Wafers & Whip Cream! There’s absolutely nothing Homemade about it! A good Homemade Banana Pudding is a rarity in Public Restaurant! The sweet tea was awesome though. Again, my review is mixed, but I’ll certainly try it again. Maybe during the evening.
