Always love panera for their service and delicious menu. This is the first one I have ever been to that left me disappointed. I ordered a large bowl of broccoli cheddar soup a pick two meal and two charged lemonades. They gave me a bread bowl which has way less soup and something tasted off about it, like it wasn't very fresh. I said something to an employee who just chuckled and walked off to work on another order. The charged lemonades we're empty, machine down and when we asked about it they just said to get soda instead, despite the charged lemonades being more expensive. The cashier we ordered with was lovely and the food wasn't bad but the overall experience was very disappointing.
The food is amazing here. The bubbly cashier with the dark curly hair and glasses is sweet as can be. but the manager Daphne? She has no business working in customer service because she clearly has no idea what it means to be hospitable. She yelled and interrupted our cashier as we were ordering and said “Did you do (whatever task was at hand)?” & the cashier calmly responded that she hadn’t. & at this point there was quite a line at her register. Daphne the manager then BARKS more orders out at her and proceeds to say “They can wait!” meaning the customers could wait.i totally understand the principle of being short staffed and how stressful that can be but there’s absolutely no reason that a grown woman in a position of management should be acting that way and snapping on her employees that DID show up to work. Clearly they are afraid of whatever repercussions you put in place when they don’t do your every whim. Panera could do so much better than wherever the hell they found that horrible Daphne woman.
I was told they "got rid" of their panini maker so I ordered a bowl of french onion soup, apple salad, and a warmed chocolate croissant. The cashier handed me a plate with the croissant and told to microwave it in the lobby (people on line behind me had to move so I could do this). I found napkins after visiting 2 self serve stations. When I went to counter to pick up my food the soup bowl was half full (equal to a cup full) and was smeared down the side. No wiping down - watched her slosh it right out of the bowl and put it out for pick up. My friend said this was why "we don't go here anymore". I subsequently apologized for suggesting it as our lunch spot.To summarize, the menu and service looked less like a Panera pre-covid and more like a fast food establishment. Not worth the price and the request to add a tip...seriously?! For plating the salad!? Hope they turn this around because I really liked this brand.
Hands down worst Panera bread I’ve been to. Customer service is non existent. Having shown up to eat at 6, they don’t close until 8, we were told the dining room was closed. Then when we went to order, they didn’t have things needed to complete the order. Walked out and went down the street to Chicken Salad Chick. Chicken Salad Chick is highly recommended. Great service and great food.
Not one table was clean in the restaurant to sit down. Definitely the dirtiest Panera bread I have ever been to. We had to change our dine in order to-go because of the condition of the dining area.
Great service the food was amazing I’ll definitely be back
I had an online order placed. I got a text confirming that the order was ready. I showed up. The order wasn't at the pick up shelf. My food was sitting on the counter at the front. I think I saw 5 employees there and it wasn't busy. Nobody was at the front counter. I waited over 10 minutes until I just decided to walk behind the counter and grab my food. My food was there except for a scone. An elderly lady behind me in line started a ruckus and flagged down an employee. She ordered her food and then mentioned that I hadn't gotten what I ordered. The employee then told me that they were out of scones so I substituted it for something else. The food was good but the customer service was bad.
Awful! I gave them the benefit of the doubt after waiting a long time my last visit for food. I waited over 20 minutes and when it was finally prepared the sandwich was completely wrong and the tomato soup was just like water. I think this is my last visit to this store. Manager didn’t seem to care that order was wrong.
We have eaten in this Panera Bread two or three times every year for almost 20 years as we travel from the Gulf Coast to the DC area. Food is always good. Employees are always courteous. Restrooms are clean. So, what was missing? Formerly, their paper napkins were spaced around the restaurant at several locations. Not the day we were there. Finally found them near the coffee. Formerly, near the tea and soft drink dispenser one could find packets of salt, pepper, sugar, Sweet-N-Low and other condiments. The bins are still there but were empty. What goes Panera? Don’t hand me the “COVID answer.” Everybody now days blames COVID. That doesn’t fly anymore. I suspect management at this restaurant is not tending to the little things that can annoy customers. Please get this fixed.
Ordered a half sandwich and large broccoli cheddar soup with baguette delivery through doordash. The order arrived with no baguette. Doordash reordered it for me and then Panera went on doordash and canceled the reorder that doordash had placed for me! That is dirty and not good business and just plain rude! Did not expect such lack of customer service from Panera. Very disappointing.
