Me and my husband went this past Sunday. We usually go to the chylacas close to downtown. We walked in and there was kids up front at the servers station just starting at us. After we were seated our chips were WAY over cooked and tasted horrible. Service was pretty good. Wasn’t busy. I ordered the Cancun burrito and my husband got the California burrito. My burrito was DRENCHED in this horrible sauce. There were no rice or beans in the burrito. Just crab scallops shrimp and way too much minced garlic. My burrito was so soggy. The rice on the side tasted like the fridge if you let it sit in there for too long. My husbands food was the same when it came to the sauce drenched burrito. Steak was chewy and had a weird taste. His guacamole was brown. As they gave us more chips the more burnt they got. It was so bad. I love chylacas but this was embarrassing
Food wasn't great - enchiladas and burritos with nothing but ground beef; no beans, cheese, sauce ... Nothing. Shrimp tacos are just that - tacos with some shrimp, no special seasoning or sauce of any kind. Fajitas were nothing to write home about and servered very strange - you get all your sides and tortillas and then wait a good while for meat and veggies to come out ...Service matched the food. Slow and servers with attitude or not social at all. We had two parties seated at two tables - two different server's, same results.Definitely not worth a trip back.
Food was good, standard Mexican cuisine, nothing fancy, but cooked fresh and very tasty. Restaurant seemed overwhelmed with the crowd that night and service was lacking. Good place and I will be back if in the area and craving Mexican food.
I loved the food, it has a delicious flavor and it is what people look for, go to eat and that what you eat has flavor.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EEEEEVER!!! Firstly, when I entered the establishment, it took 15 minutes to be acknowledged. Mind you, they weren't busy at all. I place a to-go order, nachos and an order of fajitas. 45 minutes passes, and still not ready. I attempt to get the attention of the server who is doing her best Stevie Wonder impression. I finally get her attention, and she tells me they're STILL cooking it! Also, two patrons who entered after me have already been served. If you want a TERRIBLE dining experience, this is the place for you!
Chylacas is our favorite local mexican place. Fresh salsa, fresh chips, great service.My wife loves the chicken fundito,I always get the big boy and take leftovers home to our dogs.Enchilladas could be a littls bigger, but theyre very tastey. The chili poblanos are usually most excellent also.
Chylacas used to be our favorite restaurant. We dined there often and we’re very pleased. It no longer is, nor will we be doing business with them. Out of the last three times we had Chylacas, the first was a rude server and the food quality was horrendous. The next was an order to go. They forgot most of our order and the portions were very small. They were busy so we overlooked it hey, nobody’s perfect Tonight was the last straw, we ordered our meal once again for carry out. I asked the server if it was all there going over the order. Yes, yes he said it’s all there. My bad for not untying the bag to check. Getting our order home only to find out it was NOT all there! Called and said I’d return to pick up the rest of our order. Not only did I get our missing items but as a bonus I received rudeness, the server even said I was the one making the problem when I asked if we’d get a credit like I was told over the phone. Excuse me?! I just wanted to get what I paid for! Get home and opened the container with my meal.. it was so small! Not even close to being what we paid for!Chylacas had lost our business for good! Plenty of other fine Mexican restaurants in this area!
After moving here to Georgia from Los Angeles CA, my husband and I could not find a restaurant that has authentic Mexican food. However, this place comes very close! My husband and daughters favorite is the California burrito, I really like their fajitas, chilaquiles and the chicken tostada salad. Chips and guacamole are good too!Four stars because we have been charged wrong a few times. But other than that we have always had great service!
We were seated quickly. Waitress came by almost immediately and took our drink orders. Food was hot and delicious.
