Okay food for a cheap price. They are still take-out only.
I have eaten here twice. The first time was pre-covid, and it was a traditional all-you-can eat buffet. Now, they have changed slightly. It is still a buffet, but not traditional. You get a to-go box, fill it up with as much food as you'd like, but keep in mind you pay $4.99 PER POUND. Now, a pound of food is still A LOT of food, especially with the variety China Chef offers. For my husband and I, we had 2 boxes, and 2 large sweet teas. It was just under $20 for both of us, so we obviously had a bit more than a pound! As of the time I am writing this, they will allow you to dine-in once you have paid for your meal. IMO, the best part of this buffet? You can take your leftovers with you!! You already paid after all!
I am on vacation from Florida I have eaten here twice this week. I have Never had better Chinese food than here at China Chef Buffet. Totally Awesome. Love this place
I didn't care for thos restaurant. It's buffet..but it's to go ..you pay by the pound then sit down and eat it...only 1 out of 3 food table open.
This is not an all u can eat buffet you go in make a plate then get it weighed and pay eat then repeat u pay for every plate. It's pay per plate in a buffet setting . It used to be really good now its really not.
What sort of buffet is take-out only? Normally I eat only dinner on weekends, so I get real hungry around 7pm. Had passed this place before and wanted to try it out when I was famished.Drove 20 miles south to feast on a variety of Chinese food, only to find their "buffet" was all you could put in a small styrofoam box and take out. No dine-in allowed.What a bunch if Tom-foolery. Most people want buffets to pig out and try new things. COVID-19 is so over, guys! Get real and if you want to advertise a buffet, let people eat inside!
We didn't eat here. It is still for take-out only and we decided to go elsewhere. There's no point in a buffet if you still have to eat in your vehicle because you're too far away to go back home for lunch.
Let me say this - this place is disgusting and has went downhill. If the owners are wondering why they do very little business I’m fixing to tell them why.1. Whoever is cooking the food is cooking everything too long. It’s too hard. Everything is too crispy.2. Clean up the outside of the building. The back side has mold growing on the brick wall. The parking lot looks terrible. Get off your phones and get a leaf blower and clean up around the place. Sweep or rake but get all those leaves up.3. Clean the bathroom. It’s disgusting.4. Open the buffet back up.
By midday the restaurant did not have chicken or spring rolls available, only pork. Additionally only pork dumplings were available instead of chicken or vegetable. Knowing a roll was to be given with the meal but not possible the substitution of additional broccoli or rice seemed reasonable but was denied as well even though the order was already paid for. Finally, instead of being ready in 15-20 minutes as stated, the plates took 41 minutes! Poor service all around made for a terrible first impression.
Food was good but you have to pay like it's take out. They yelled at us when we got there that it was take out only then let us sit and eat after we paid. Also only one buffet bar open.
