I've tried it several times, I just can't convince myself to keep going. The flavors are there, but I always bite into chicken gristle and end up losing my appetite. As a company, I'm sure it's hard to be picky on the quality of the chicken when you have to mass produce the chicken salad, but it's not for me.
Okay so, let me preface by saying I love chicken salad chick. I’ve been to multiple locations and have tasted almost every flavor! Well today I got the kickin Kay Lynne on a croissant and it was the nastiest texture and so so dry. It’s like they forgot to add Mayo or something, has the texture of tuna out of a can. I’ve never had chicken salad so bad from chicken salad chick, and was extremely disappointed. I ended up throwing it away because I couldn’t stomach it.
I am usually not a chicken salad kind of guy, but after prompting from my wife, my mom, and my sisters, I finally caved and tried Chicken Salad Chick.It's very, very good, and I see what all the hype is about.It's counter service, so while the staff at this location is friendly, you don't engage with them too much. Still, points for kind people who care about their jobs. The same girl took our order both visits, and she's been very friendly and fun to talk to both times. I wish I could remember her name just to give her props on this review.As far as the food itself, it's various styles of chicken salad--you either like that or you don't. Having said that, and as someone who has always said that I don't really like chicken salad, it's very good, and there is (are?) enough variety of recipes on hand that you'll probably find one that you like.I got mine on a BLT with a side cup of soup. That's the way to go. They provide you with some crackers on the side, I recommend picking up a bag of chips as well, simply to add some texture.If I had any critique, it is simply that the menu is sort of hard to work, at least for me, mainly in terms of how many different combinations there are and what the differences are between them. But that's my problem, not yours.IT'S CHICKEN SALAD, so you know what you're getting. And it's good, so just stop reading this and go eat.
This is well run store. You order. Then go sit down in the attactive seating. The food is brought to you. Only serve chicken salad made different ways. Soup was on the menu also. I ordered a regular spring salad with one of the chicken salads on top! Got a dill pickle spear and a cookie included. I Had a delicious filling light lunch! My friend ordered a chicken salad sandwich on wheat bread and a fruit cup. Her fruit was not very fresh. She also had a fountain diet lemonade with free refill.
The food is pretty good pretty often.I just wish you would stop giving pickles with the food.Don't get me wrong. I am a huge fan of pickles, but I would be less annoyed that you forgot to give me a pickle than I am when someone looks at this mushy, scooped-out-looking disaster of a pickle and says, "Yeah, this is good enough to put in this box."Just stop giving out pickles. I nor any of the boxes in my orders have gotten one that was enjoyable to look at or eat in the last several times I've gotten food here. I will change this review to 5-stars if the next order I get comes without a pickle.
Simple but good. My favorite is the Buffalo Barclay! Fast service and great customer service. I always order to go. Wouldn't recommend their ceaser salad waste of money but the Mac and cheese is good although it comes from a bag heated up. Nice dining area also outdoor seating.
What a gem of a place for our town. The chicken salad and egg salad all are amazing. Eat in or take out always a hit with my family and guest thank you
picked up some chicken salad for supper. Staff is friendly and helpful and the service was fast. Food was great as usual.
Food is good. Fancy nancy there were no pecans but still good. But please don't put wet lettuce on the bread, mine was too soggy to eat.
Wanted something different. Great ckn salad ( as would be expected) but I didn't think the bread was fresh enough but we are going back today so I will be able to compare. Give it a try!!!
