Today the boys and I went to help dad with yard work and deep cleaning of the house. I felt adventurous for something new to eat besides our standard CFA and Chinese food we eat while in the area. I found AJ’s Waterfront Cafe. And, man! The food did not disappoint. They had traditional cafe food, but the Jamaican food I ate was so good! It’s a shame this location is kinda hidden. It’s near Clayton State College. The staff was super accommodating. We enjoyed a conversation with the owner, AJ. We talked about how the 4-year-old restaurant made it through the pandemic and his mentor (his picture hangs in the place) that guided AJ concerning running a business. Adaptability was the key. He, also, runs a tree cutting business. We noticed the two Blue Line American flags and the Jamaican flag in the restaurant. And, y’all! The amazing live oak tables were just stunning. We’ll definitely be back.
The owner is super friendly and her recipes are amazing! I always enjoy the food I order. Great environment, friendly service, family run, black owned...I really love this place. And the food is good. It's flavored perfectly. It's also next to this beautiful lake. Try the fish, try the wings, try the burgers, you really can't make a mistake.
This place is AMAZING!! Some of the best food and customer service PERIOD!! Did I mentioned its black and woman owned!! Go Treat Your Self!! The Jerk Burger is one of my favorites!!

We just had lunch at this place. I can't wait to go back! The fried chicken sandwich was amazing, had it all the way with the special sauces! The lamb gyro was awesome, with fresh pita wrap. Fries were something special, fried just right and seasoning was on point! Food as I said was amazing, but the people and service was equally as awesome!
The Gyro is not a Gyro. Wasted $15 on a lamb wrap with burnt flavorless fries.
OMG, this place it top notch hands down. My family and I are always looking for a great place to eat with variety on the menu and this place was the best I've been too in a long while. Everything we had was fresh, hot and delicious. The staff was very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Just go you won't be disappointed!!!!!!
