Each time I have come here I have had a great experience. Both times we came as groups. Service was great and we were well attended to. The food was amazing. I have a dairy allergy and they were very knowledgeable about what I could or could not have on their menu. They were also very accommodating and so kind. I definitely recommend Macon Street Tacos. Today was my first visit; definitely not my last. Our food was excellent. Great selection, reasonable prices and clean. And, the employees were priceless. Margot, McKenzie & Nichole demonstrated exceptional customer service. They were smiling, polite, accurate and definitely not scripted. ??? Macon St. Tacos
I was so looking forward to visiting this place and enjoying the tacos. Sadly, I was highly underwhelmed with my visit. In fact, I was gravely disappointed in the service my friend and I received.The Good: The establishment is a cute & quant place in the McDonough square. The menu looks exciting and there’s something for everyone.The Bad: I’ll skip this part and go straight to the ugly.The Ugly: We placed our order at 12:00p and sat at a table awaiting the staff to bring our food for dine-in service. At 12:20p, we noticed 3 groups of people had come in, ordered, sat down, and received their food. Yet….we hadn’t received ours. I asked the staff for an update on our order and she mentioned our ticket was up next. (How was it “next” if we ordered BEFORE the other 3 groups arrived??). By 12:45p, 2 more dine-in groups and 3 to-go orders had come in, ordered, got seated, and received their food. Still….no food for us. By now, we’re ready for a refund and ready to go. After telling the staff we’ve been waiting for 45 minutes and watching them CONSTANTLY service others and continue to ignore us, we want a refund. At no time was an apology or explanation offered. So you leave me no choice but to state the facts and draw my own conclusion for reasoning. ALL other patrons looked to be white/Caucasian. The staff looked to be white/Caucasian. My friend and myself are black/African American. So, I guess they didn’t feel like servicing black people today in this restaurant. I’m highly disappointed that I even had to write about such disgusting service/behavior related to this place because we really wanted to support the small business. But we don’t and won’t support poor service….especially that which appears to be racially motivated.
Horrible nachos. Had them for lunch today. They were absolutely tasteless. Had the french fries, too. They were actually good. Will NOT be back or recommend to anyone. However, the wait staff was courteous. Oh, if you do decide to dine in, be sure to read the menu beforehand. The menu they have on the wall is a tad confusing and scrolls through pretty quickly.
I had steak and Cajun fish, both were excellent! I did not take a photo because I ate them too fast. I was hungry.
Always a hit whenever we stop by! We got our order and were seated right away. The staff took our gluten and dairy allergies seriously and took precautions to avoid cross contact. The fish and shrimp tacos were amazing and the guacamole was perfectly seasoned! Always a fun and delicious experience made even better by the friendly and dedicated staff that work there. This has definitely turned into one of our favorite spots!
We were greeted when we walked in, so the service was good. They got my order wrong. I wasn’t about to go back in. Ordered 6 tacos, at $4 a taco, I expected something a hell of better than what I got. There was no flavor/seasoning in the tacos. NONE. Nada. Zilch. The meat was very bland. I was looking forward to this and was thoroughly disappointed.P.S. My family and I DON’T have covid, out tastebuds are tasting very well.

Had been eyeing this place since we planned our trip to McDonough and I am obsessed now! The tacos were SO good and cheap, plus you can get alcohol. A perfect lunch spot or super casual dinner spot. I wanted to eat here for every meal!
