Yum yum YUUUUM. It's been a while since I've been back to an area where you can ask for "sweet tea" and they don't look at you like you have TWO HEADS and then say "sugars on the table". Ummm. Sweet tea, served with a sweet smile and attitude! Both gals working there took great care of us. We ordered and appetizer and a lunch, not realizing just how generous the appetizer would be! Fried green beans, friend onion peels and pretzel bites with cheese dip and ranch dip! Oh my goodness! THEN, the chicken tenders, which came with fries (yup, carb coma!). The chicken was good and crunchy on the outside, tender and yum on the inside. Husband had a good BBQ/bacon burger with the BEST tater tots! Crunchy on the outside, cooked to perfection. No room for dessert, as we took two boxes of left overs home! We will be back for dessert soon, ladies! Thanks so much for the warm, southern welcome home!! ??
I miss a time when men were men and women knew their place. When my wife doesn't want to cook, I slap her and then mosey on down to this joint where I can pretend I had a proper woman by my side. That's the second biggest reason I love this place (and most other 50's themed diners). The biggest reason of course is the food! Everything has a cute kitschy name that goes with the theme. Everything that I have tried here was excellent. The decor is also on point. Very rarely do you find a place in Georgia where the service is up to par, but this restaurant has it all.
Today dinner was great I absolutely love the vibe of this place walking inside of it and the waitresses are really nice and helpful especially explaining things on the menus and not to mention the food tasted amazing I loved the sliders especially the one with pimento cheese I forgot what it was called I think it was called the game or something like that lol but I would definitely 8/10 recommend this restaurant to go to, sucks we had to leave soon and take the food in to go boxes wish we could’ve stayed longer. Nice retro spot.
Love this place every time we come here. The burgers and chicken tenders are amazing, plus the fries and tots as well. And if you’re feeling something sweet, the root beer floats are absolutely divine. The service is always good and we recommend this place regularly!
Given that the “world’s best burger” was won four years ago, this by far was not the best burger I’ve ever eaten. Not even the best I’ve had this year and it’s only February. It was dry and did not have much taste, which was a little disappointing for the price, and because I ordered it medium well not well done. The server for my to go order was initially as cold as the restaurant was inside, but later warmed up after I had been sitting there waiting for my food for 20mins. A three star diner and a three star burger deserves a three star review. The good was that it was a large burger that came with a large order of fries.
Food is ALWAYS amazing! We love to get their burgers and wings along with the sweet tots and the white sauce!! *Chef's kiss* So good! Service is always great, and they cook the burgers exactly how you tell them you'd like them to be cooked. One of our favorite places for sure!
Great old-time diner right in downtown. I was not impressed with the appetizers, But the food is something else. We had salad and a ribeye sandwich. That for me is a problem because now if I want a real ribeye sandwich I will have to come to this place. Is worth the hour drive from my home. Another plus are the milkshakes. Real ones, not the ones that you need a spoon that you see every ware. This place is for real. Now the best for the end, the people that works there. Wonderful people that make you feel like you know them all your life. We found this place by chance, but now we know where to go for good food and a good time.
The staff was nice but for award winning the burgers were not great. They weren't cooked med-well as we asked and as it says on the menu they will be cooked. The kids burger is smaller than a slider. The sweet pot tots were regular frozen, I wish they were made there. I got one that's supposed to have pulled bacon and it tasted old. I was expecting more flavor and better quality. The milkshakes were good at least. Also overpriced for the size, and on the menu it days comes w fries but somehow their system charges you per order.
Delicious homemade burgers! I loved the slider burger option. It was the perfect portion! Very friendly staff! Burger awards posted everywhere, so congratulations!
1st time here & it was my decision to go…celebrating an early b-day !It took a little longer to be seated than what I was expecting, but it did look kinda full for a Thursday night (which was a good sign).I read the reviews & liked what I read.Unfortunately, I didn’t get pics of all the food (it came out in spurts & everyone was hungry) !My “Marriage Burger” was cooked to perfection & tasted great !I heard no complaints from the other 5, so it must’ve been good ??.The service was good, but not over the top…but no biggie for me.I don’t like to eat out much, but I’d probably visit this place again !?!????
