An excellent primarily take out sushi place. The fish is very fresh and the servings are relatively generous. Definitely a good place to get lunch while you're on the go.
Husband and I have been eating here every Friday for months. It's our Friday night treat. Everything I've had is GOODT! Hibachi, teriyaki, sushi, lo mein, and wings. The most consistent place I frequent since moving to McDonough.
Stoppes by because of reviews and we were close. The rice was the only thing my family enjoyed. My steak tasted like liver and the chicken was not tasty. The teriyaki chicken was burnt so it was picked over. I may go back for the rice, though; it was a nice, big portion. We wanted to sit inside since it was empty at the moment, but weren't allowed.
I called in for sushi around 9:30 on a Friday night, the food is amazing and the customer service was good. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the prices online and the prices instore are different. Sushi is more expensive than listed.
I can only think of one place to go if I want House Fried Rice in McDonough, Clayton, Newton, and or Butts County. Ichiban Express has to be THAT GOOD of a Choice. Their Menu is spot on Goodness with great options. Price is Moderately Pricey averaging $13-18 per person, bit worth it. The portions are plentiful for the heartiest of appetites. The pic I added of my House Fried Rice was taken after 10 fork full bites in... yeah a lot of food. The shrimp was tasty. The steak was tender, and the chicken was juicy. Am I biased... YES! I've not ever had a bad experience ordering, dining in, and or ordering take out here. They're open for Dine In. My Easter (After Celebrating Jesus Christ) Meal was complete. We as a family was full all afternoon long. I had enough for Dinner. Did I tell you the Shrimp Tempura and their Sushi Rolls were ?? OMG you can't go wrong eating here. Your pockets will be lighter, but you will be full of tasty joy. After your eat nap ( The Itis will kick in) you will still be happy! Thank me later after your nap. Definitely worth trying.
Wow!!!!The fried rice is not really fried rice. It was white rice with a little soy sauce thrown on it. Literally the rice was brown on the outside but when I took a fork full completely white on the inside. No egg but one little morsel on top.The teriyaki chicken was shaved thigh meat very chewy. My clear soup was mushroom water, I kid you not. There were wafer thin slices of mushrooms in hot water I could taste nothing else.My salad was a reg salad with nothing saying Japanese about it. No ginger taste no crispy noodles, nothing! And my most favorite sauce to dip my meats or veg in the sauce explodes with a burst of flavor the Yum Yum sauce tasted like ketchup mixed with miracle whip. I don't see where the stars were earned!!!!!
The tables were nasty,we asked the cashier to clean the table that we were going to sit at she told us to wipe it with a paper towel, They all needed soap and water. Then she said sit on other side .I wanted to cancel my order we had already paid and my husband walked out. Because he was surprise that the casher said that,I got our good and left. The food wasn't good at all.
The food was/is amazing...place didn't look like what I expected (I'm from California), but the food definitely tasted like it was made in a sushi bar (we wanted more but they were closing ??). I would highly recommend this establishment ?
Super cool little spot. Was about to eat a Chick-fil-A but didn't want to wait in the line. Came here instead and don't regret. I got 3 rolls, a soup and a side of rice for 20 bucks.Fresh fish food, quick rolls. Good service.
Our family favorite sushi and hibachi place! Authentic curry dishes as well. Something for everyone.
