Enjoyed the food. Good friendly service.

If you're confident enough to name your restaurant after a specific food, I'm going to expect that particular food to be absolutely bomb. Sadly, that was not the case here. The grits were just some plain old grits. Definitely not bad, but not the taste explosion I had expected. The fried green tomatoes were amazing, however. So maybe a name change is in order? The restroom felt like a sauna, with the temperature and humidity being suitable only for some type of tree frog. The walls were seriously damp with condensation. It sort of reminded me of using a 103° port-a-potty in July.Anyway, the rest of my visit was quite pleasant. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Our server was accommodating of our requests. The atmosphere was nice and I would probably eat here again.

We've eaten here several time and never had a bad meal or service. It's the only time I've seen my son, who is a runner not be able to finish his breakfast

As usual Gritz has home food which is delicious and their service is friendly and exceptional. Thank you

The staff was pleasant from the call in order to the time I picked up my food and it seems like they keep a pretty steady crowd which is good.I don’t like that they don’t have many vegan/vegetarian options (daily) so I was forced to get a lot of carbs. I can say that the French toast was great and the grits were bussing (delicious). I’ma biscuit lover but the biscuit didn’t really give me what I was looking for.I will have to try them one day when they have fish ( I believe Sundays). No major complaints.

Great Southern Food for Breakfast and Lunch. Open only for Breakfast and Lunch. Typical Southern Style Menu, Heavy on fried food and veggies. Great for Breakfast, biscuits, egg plates, are excellent. Staff is very helpful, fast services, might have short wait to be seated as small space. Good parking on Square and surrounding side streets. Walk off your excellent meal on the McDonough Square.

Food was plentiful and service was great. Very busy but quick turn around with tables.

I had the large French toast with chicken sausage, large grits with hashbrown, and onions added. The grits were some of the best ones I've had at a restaurant without needing to add anything to it. The French toast were very fluffy and had a great flavor on them. They are definitely worth the visit

Good comfort food. The staff was friendly and welcoming. I did need salt and pepper for everything. This was a nice family experience.
