The food was amazing authentic and delicious. Thank you Megan for telling me about El Sarten. One thing I missed about Miami is the food and now I can go and eat here all the time.

Food was delicious and the owner was very nice. Definitely will be returning. Pass by here all the time and never paid attention. Haven't enjoyed some real Domincan food since moving here from NY

So I tried this spot last night because I initially thought it was another restaurant but it’s not there anymore… Anyway I’m so glad I went there because the food is absolutely delicious and yes I will be going back!!! So excuse my messy plate because I was eating the food on my way home ??♀️ But I got the beef stew with rice and plantains and two empanadas and baby this whole plate was bussin ?????????? Wanda the cashier was super friendly and the aunties in the kitchen definitely came through with the flavors of the food ? so if y’all are in the McDonough/ Jonesboro Rd area go check them out ???
On our way back home (Miami) we found this Authentic Dominican Restaurant ??. The food was well seasoned, portion size were large and the price was extremely reasonable. We ordered pollo guisado, carne the res and sancocho with white rice. The customer service was amazing you feel welcome and the food brings comfort to your soul. As a Dominican I can honestly say, I wish I lived closer to enjoy El Sartén more often!!!!
Excellent food. This is probably the only place that makes testones right (soft and flat, crispy instead of cakey) in our area and the rice and beans are ON POINT! Not only the food is done right, the food is super flavorful! AAA+++
They always have the same food! I grew up in New Jersey and our corner bodega had a bigger variety! Plus they close at 7pm, that’s the time for dinner! The only reason people down here like it is because they don’t know good Spanish food or have to take a long drive to Atlanta to get some good Spanish food! Next time you go there, just take a look, she’s going to say either stew chicken or stew beef, if they was in new Jersey or New York they would be out of business
It was our first time visiting this restaurant yesterday. The food is so good here and the staff are wonderful people! Make sure you come hungry because you will get a lot of food at a good price. Highly recommend!
