Oh my god. This place is amazing. Stop and try Chalo's! The quesadilla was a nice size amazing. Best quesadilla I have ever had. Next time I will be getting the nachos. It takes a really good place for me to give it 5 stars. But this place gets an instant 5 star rating.There is 2 tables inside the place, I think i saw a table outside, but not sure. If you have to take it to go. Eat in your car
Looks can be deceiving. Chalo shares space with a gas station and we almost turned around when we saw the bleached out signs on the front of the store that suggested run down sketchiness. We went in anyway and were amazed by the efficiency, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, and most of all deliciousness of the food.I asked a couple of regulars what their favorites were and both said the taco lunch special. With this you get three tacos, and you can choose between beef, chicken, seasoned pork, or fried pork. Then you can choose your side between beans and rice or seasoned french fries. All were delicious. The chicken was spicier than the others, and both porks were our favorites. The beans and rice are delicious on their own or on the tacos.We were driving through and decided to stop on a whim. This will become to stop and riding South of Atlanta.I would recommend that you arrive before or after the lunch hour because it gets busy fast.

I love going to little hole in the wall spots, and Chalo did not disappoint. I ordered a chicken quesadilla and some garlic fries before I seen they have tamales. I was going to change my fries to the tamale and try to pay the difference, but the employee (I didn’t get her name) said this is your first time here isn’t it (it was) and gave me the tamale on the house. FABULOUS customer service! I tried to go back Sunday again, but they’re closed Sundays. I’ll definitely be back multiple time. The food was excellent!*update: I did return for steak tacos and a chicken tamale, and while the steak tacos weren’t a smash to me they weren’t trash either. I’ll definitely be back for the quesadillas and tamales!
If they make the food the same every time then you should REALLY try it. If sensitive to spicy watch the sauce. In my opinion it's pretty good.
Stopped there thinking Indian restaurant, It was Mexican. I loved it. Lady works at the front super nice. Owner brought our food. Now the food it was 11/10 super delicious.
I got the breakfast burrito and garlic fries. It's so good and so fresh. The portions are really big too. I will be trying every item on the menu, over time of course. The lady who runs the restaurant is so nice. Chalo is my new favorite spot.
This place is A MUST TRY! Don’t let them being adjacent to the gas station deter you. They offer INCREDIBLE food at a GREAT price and quantity and they’re fast! My bf and I couldn’t decide what to order so we almost got one of everything. I kid you not, it was ALL very delicious, inexpensive and came out fast! I HIGHLY recommend this establishment! We have gone back so many times and will continue to do so! So much better than any of the mexican restaurants in the area/surrounding exits. You should definitely try this one!
The food is so authentically good! My husband and I by loved it. Tacos, Chalo fries, and the tamale were the best ever!! We planning to go back ASAP!! You would never know by passing by that the food here would be so delicious. Mmmm, so good!
My husband and I love authentic tacos. We tried one of every flavor... they were all amazing! We also had the pork quesadilla - large, fresh, cheesy deliciousness!
Wow. A buddy and I came in here hungry and left SOooo happy. It’s in a Shell convenience store, so know that.Just a couple tables and a cooler for drinks. No margaritas and certainly no waitresses.Tacos are excellent. Buddy had a burrito that was about 4 lbs and tasty.I had tacos and a”fry bowl” which was basically nachos with fries instead of chips.We’ll seasoned and way more than I could eat, even if I hadn’t scarfed a couple tacos too.Clean, friendly, what’s not to like?Cooked to order goodness, so your gonna wait ten minutes.I’m going to never miss this when I’m the area.
