Second time I’ve come here and it’s closed. Hours posted are 11:30-8. It’s 3:20 on a Saturday; come on people get it together. If you aren’t going to honor your own posted hours…..why even have a restaurant? It’s a shame because they have really good catfish and a signature lemon pepper tartar sauce that’s really delicious.
As a DoorDash deliverer, we arrived here with the expectation to pick up an order for a customer. It clearly stated on google maps that they were open. But upon arrival. Both doors are locked , lights out, open signed turned off. Why do you have false hours of operation?That’s a good way to loose business.
If you can catch them open good luck. I have been trying for a year to eat their food because it's not like McDonough has an abundance of soul food options. Anyways I was successful with catching them open one day and they didn't have at least 3 of the items I wanted. Didn't have the ingredient for the Mac and cheese I remember. The customer service was very nice but I ended up leaving because they were out of what I wanted to order. I'll update review if I ever get the luxury of eating here.

My sons and I finally made it to Carrie-Bo's and we're glad we did! Both the food and service were great. We also loved the feel of the restaurant and how friendly and accommodating the owners were. In fact, the food was so good we bought plates to go! If you're in the area looking for soul food that is prepared to order and not overly seasoned or grease filled, give them a try!
The food here is delicious and it’s a fun grown-up atmosphere. My sister-friend and I met here to recharge on a Friday and Mama Fergi was delightful. I had the bangin’ shrimp, macaroni and cheese and cabbage and my sister-friend had the shrimp and grits. Everything was delicious, hot and the portions are perfect. We’ll definitely be back!
I wanted to love this place especially since there are really no soul food places here in McDonough - or at least any worth going to. Anywho, WHO doesn't have any chicken on a Sunday??? Went in today. The only meat options were seafood or pork. You've gotta be kidding me! Some people are allergic to seafood and pork is a no go for others. They had no beef or chicken options from the menu available. We ended up ordering the whiting fish which was just ok. The food was cooked to order which was ideal. They need to check the blends of cheese in the mac n' cheese. It's not right. I know food and taste but someone else would think it was sour not knowing that it was the type of cheese they use. If my mac n' cheese is not right, I can't give over 2 stars. Folks serving this dish need to have it on point. Okra was just okra. Tarter sauce for the fish was not good. The establishment was clean and the atmosphere was welcoming plus they had live entertainment. Unfortunately, they did not gain a customer in me. I go to restaurants to eat. Everything else is a bonus. Not having at least a chicken meat option available didn't help either. I'll keep searching for that good soul food spot here in McDonough or be forced to continue driving into the city.
At the recommendation of a close friend, I drove 45 minutes to experience this Soul Fusion delight and I was NOT disappointed! Right away you can tell its a family restaurant and you feel right at home. The "Mama" running the front if the house was on top of everything!! I ordered the special which was the SHRIMP BOIL. It was DELICIOUS! The shrimp were HUGE, the corn was sweet the potatoes cooked just right and it was seasoned perfectly. The portion was more than generous for the price. They were attentive and courteous. The chef even came out to personally introduce himself and make sure that everything was to my liking. IT DEFINITELY WAS! So much so, I ordered a second meal to go... Rib Tips, Collards and Yams. I will definitely be back!
I love this restaurant. It's a great family atmosphere and you get treated like family. Food is hot and very tasty. Ohhh Emmm Geee...the RIBS ARE AMAZING!!! Also THAT RED VELVET CAKE THO!!!!???❤️
Was down that way for a job interview and stopped in for lunch. The woman behind the counter as very nice and checked to see if I was enjoying my meal several times. I had the catfish, mac and cheese and fried okra. Delicious. Will definitely stop in again if I find myself down that way. Love the vibe, great atmosphere.
